They literally go the extra miles for our clients and provide dockside pickup in the vessel to maximize your time onboard.
Owned and operated by Captain Scott W. Edgar established in 2019 to be the premier charter service for all of South East Alaska. His fleet of elite captains have several years of experience & love to share their tips and tricks with you as well as exchange travel stories. Your adventure starts on a large offshore sport fishing boat. It has plenty of room for up to 6 anglers inside its enclosed cabin and runs on twin Yamaha F250 engines. It uses all the needed navigation/fishfinder/radar and is equipped with salmon & halibut fishing gear, and electric downriggers.
The boat has a private restroom and a sink with fresh water, and also features a blue tooth sound system, a refrigerator, and a HEATER! You'll enjoy a stable ride, a pleasant warm interior, and will have plenty of space on deck.
The most prized fish you'll go after are Chinook Salmon and Halibut but you can also target 4 other salmon species, Crab, Rockfish, and Lingcod. Salmon in this area gets huge! Don't forget the whales and wildlife, our mission is that after your trip, you'll fall in love with Alaska!
Reel Alaska Fishing Charters offers flexible start times and provides premium name brand fishing gear, drinks, and snacks. You should buy, sign and print your fishing license before you come on board. Catch cleaning is available at $3.85 a pound of finished weight.(Just the fillets) And they can ship the fish at your convenience.

Amazing experience. Captain Colby put me on to a nice king salmon! 10/10 would recommend! Captain gave us some Good tunes, Good laughs, good instruction, and was very informative. If you havent been Salmon fishing from a boat before this is the place to go. Captain brought us straight to the fish processor and got every lined up for us so dont stress about that.
Capt Scott took myself and my oldest two out Salmon fishing for king/pink salmon on 3 hr trip. He was prompt in responding to questions during booking and helped us find some amazing lodging for our stay. Once at the boat he quickly got us to the spot and maximized our time out. He was knowledgable of the area, answering my kids many questions and helping them once a fish was one to ensure they landed the fish. We caught around 13 fish in a little over 2 hours on station and kept seven including two kings with one over 30 lbs. One thing I though came through was how much Capt Scott loves to catch salmon. I don't know who was more excited when we got our big king, he or I. I plan on coming back and the only captain I am calling is Capt Scott.
We have a wonderful trip out with Colby and Isa. It was my husband and I with our 3 kids under 13. We have some experience fishing but Colby and Isa were so patient and helpful with our 7 & 9 year old and made sure the experience was top notch for them. Colby set us up in the honey hole and we didn’t have to move to catch a mess of salmon to send home! The biggest fish out there broke my line so no proof, maybe we will catch him next time! 😉😂. This fishing 🎣 day has been a highlight of the trip for sure! Thanks for a great day!
Myself and my two sons (16 & 14) had an outstanding time! Concerned about time, and for a small fee, Asher picked us up from the cruise ship. We caught several salmon and we were able to keep a king salmon and pink salmon. Asher did a great job building a relationship with us and was very personable. Thank you Asher, for making my son's experience the best part of their trip! Jeff amazing time. We were concerned about time and, for a small fee, Asher picked us up from the cruise ship
We had a fun family trip and highly recommend our captain Scott! He was awesome. Fun and full of great information! Highly recommend them and captain Scott!
