Striper Bandit Guide Service is located in Morristown, TN and offers to show you a memorable time on beautiful Cherokee Lake in East Tennessee. We work with several area guides and expert fishermen to share feedback and information on fish movement, feeding patterns, and lake conditions. Our goal is to put you on the fish and provide every opportunity for success. Your captain will do their best to make sure you have an exciting day of fishing. This involves 4 to 6-hour trips, mainly fishing for Striped Bass and Hybrid Striped Bass. Occasionally, we land some nice Catfish as well. On these trips, you can expect to use techniques such as bottom fishing, trolling, and jigging.
The captain encourages catch and release when possible, however, you’re legally allowed to keep 2 Striper or Hybrid in combination per fisherman. In the hotter months, Striper will likely not survive when released, so it may be necessary to keep them regardless. The fish must be 15” or larger to keep.
If you and the crew are struggling to catch fish and if possible, an extension of the trip may be offered. In that case, the choice to stay longer is yours to make. Your safety being the captain’s top concern, he’ll offer to reschedule for another day in case lightning forces you off the water. If the storm looks to pass quickly, you can wait at the ramp and return to fishing once it’s safe to continue.
Everything you need to fish is included in the price. All you need to bring is your Tennessee State Fishing License and any drinks or snacks you want to take along. If you plan to take any fish home, you’ll need to bring freezer bags, a cooler, and ice to transport it in.

If I could give 50 stars, I would!! Jaime was super flexible and accommodating as we had booked a really tight schedule of back-to-back excursions during our visit! Being on the boat with him was like catching up with an old high school buddy. He was personable, super-friendly, helpful and hospitable!! It felt like we’d known him for years! He was able to take us right to where the large fish would be biting and we caught plenty! He baited our hooks, had the net handy when we it was time to bring in the big catch and even took photos! I can’t say enough great things! Book this trip just once and I guarantee you’ll book with Jamie 100 times again!
We had an outstanding experience on Cherokee Lake chasing striped and hybrid bass with Captain Jamie from Striper Bandit. From start to finish, the trip was first-class. The captain was incredibly knowledgeable about the lake and knew exactly where to find the fish—we were on them early, and we landed some impressive stripers and hybrids. Even pulled out a few white Bass and a slob of a small mouth What really stood out was how well everything was run—top-notch gear, a clean and comfortable boat, and a guide who made sure everyone was having a great time, whether you were experienced or brand new to fishing. Beyond just catching fish, we learned a ton about technique, bait, and reading the water. It felt like more than just a charter—it was a full experience. If you’re thinking about booking a fishing trip on Cherokee Lake, don’t hesitate. This was easily one of the best days we’ve had on the water, and we’ll definitely be back.
This is the 2nd time we used Jaime to fish Cherokee Lake. Jaime's, the captain, attention to detail as well as his knowledge of the Lake and where the fish are almost guarantees a fish fry in the future. The boys, who are experienced anglers, were quite impressed. I will use him over and over again when we are trying to impress our, out of state, house guests with the beat of TN fishing.
I have fished my whole life for fun, competitvely and as a charter service. I have also been fortunate to fish quite a few places across the US and this was one of the best experience to date. The captain and guide was very knowledgeable, had a great boat and great equipment, was as nice as anyone we ever met. Fishing is fiahing, sometime tou catch tbem and sometimes you dont. My son and caught a ton of fish, a lot of quality stripers and made some great memories. Please give this captain a try, you wont be disappointed!
My friend and I had an awesome time on this charter! The captain was knowledgeable, friendly, and worked hard to keep us on fish all day. We ended up hitting our limit, and the action was nonstop. The boat was clean, everything was well organized, and they cleaned all of our fish before we left, which was a huge bonus. If you’re looking for a great fishing trip with a captain who knows exactly where to find the fish, I highly recommend this charter. We’ll definitely be back the next time we’re in the area!
