About Captain Allick
A native of the Lowcountry, Bluffton specifically, Captain Allick spent his childhood on his grandparents dock on the May River. He first started his fishing career as a young teen in 1999 as a mate on The Crabber J II and has been a licensed Charter Captain since 2006. Allick is incredibly knowledgeable about the native species in the area and an excellent tour guide. If you are into catching the “big cool stuff,” Allick is your guy. Allick is a father of three and enjoys taking families out on the May.
Redfish are a year round favorite. Fished with live bait and light tackle, they are a lot of fun to reel in.
Sharks are fun during the warmer months, we target family size sharks(2-4ft) and workout sharks (5-10ft) for your entertainment. We target a diverse variety of seasonal specials including speckled sea trout, flounder, sheepshead, tarpon, cobia, jack crevalle.
Much of our fishing is catch and release. We are happy to fillet a couple redfish to take home for dinner but insist on practicing sustainable fishing. We prefer sending you home with a shrimp dinner. Our local shrimp are plentyfull during certain times of the year and the best you will ever eat. There are also trout, flounder, trippletail, blackdrum, cobia and mackrel just to name a few other tasty species we can target.
We have everything you need fun and memorable day out on the water. You can bring anything you want to eat or drink in a small cooler and rub in sunscreen.
We accept Cash, Venmo, and Card plus 3% for payment.
We practice sustainable fishing Catch and Release.

What an incredible experience! From the moment we stepped on the boat, the captain made us feel welcome, comfortable, and ready for a great day on the water. Captain Allick was professional, knowledgeable, patient, and made sure everyone had a fun and memorable experience. This trip was especially special because it was part of my birthday celebration, and it definitely exceeded my expectations! The boat was clean, the equipment was great, and the Captain worked hard to make sure we had the best fishing experience possible. I brought my daughter and her Army friends, and we all had an amazing time. There were plenty of laughs, great memories, and an experience we will be talking about for a long time. I highly recommend this charter to anyone looking for a fun, professional, and unforgettable fishing trip. We will definitely be back! 🎣🌊❤️
we let captain know we were looking to catch some big fish and Allick definitely delivered. We saw a lot of dolphins on way out to the fishing spot. We pulled up on the spot and had lines in the water quickly. He put down 3 lines for big sharks and handed my sons a few action rods to fish for hammerheads while waiting for the big sharks to bite. within 10 min both boys were reeling in a hammerhead shark at the same time. Had a mishap where my son was worried about getting stung by a bee and accidently dropped the captains rod and reel in to the water. he made my son feel at ease about it even though he felt awful for doing it. Before we knew it we had a big run on one of the poles and picked it up and reeled in a 5 ft Bull shark after a nice fight. Even luckier was that the rod my dropped in the water was tangled up in the line so we got the shark and the pole back which made my son feel so much better. We reeled in another hammerhead and got another big run! This time it was something BIG! All 3 of us took turns fighting this shark and the shark wouldnt give up. This thing was winning every battle. Captain said it was a big shark and he wasnt kidding. after fighting this shark for maybe 30 min she was tired enough to give us a quick look at her boatside but in a dash she made one final run and broke free. not before we could see she was at least a 9 ft Lemon Shark and a beast that weighed between 200-300 pounds! what a trip! wouldn’t hesitate to book with Capt Allick again!
We had an amazing 4-hour fishing excursion with Captain Allick! He did a fantastic job making the experience fun and exciting for our kids while also keeping it relaxing and enjoyable for the whole family. We caught sea creatures we’d never have the chance to catch back home in Minnesota, and Allick shared so much about the local area and fishing. He was incredibly knowledgeable, personable, and great with the kids. Our kids talked about the experience for hours. We would absolutely recommend this excursion for families and all ages!

Allick was a great Captain. 4 of us on charter from 48-23. He asked us what we wanted to do after left it to him and he said let’s get some big sharks. He was not kidding. First one my 23 year old daughter pulls up a 2 foot hammerhead. 15 min later my SIL gets a 3 footer. 15 min later my daughters BF gets a 4’. Then we hit the monster. We fought for 20 + minutes and he thinks by its fight was over 8-9’. Snapped line. Then 15 min later got into and landed a 5’ bull. What a day.
Weather in Hilton Head did not cooperate. After one canceled fishing excusion my son was able to find Captain Allick through Fish Booker app. My son was able to contact Captain Allick at 8:30 p.m. the night before and Captain Allick was willing to take him and his best friend out for a 3 hour trip. While the fish didn't bite, both boys understood it was just the luck of the draw. They both had a blast and will hopefully go back out next time we visit the island. Captain Allick was great at communication, he welcomed my 2 - 16 year olds and treated them with kindness and respect.
