Herb got us on the boat quick and we were on our way within 5 minutes! We spotted a pod of 50 dolphins with babies and watched for a little bit. They were jumping right next to the boat and we could hear them chirping! Our next stop was to collect bait fish with a net, which was neat to see. For the main event we went to Herb’s fishing spot. My 7 yo daughter caught the first shark of the trip! A four foot fine-tooth shark! Our group went on to catch 8 more sharks- bonnet, another fine-tooth, black-tip and a feisty 4 foot bull shark! We did the sunset experience which was incredibly beautiful in addition to exciting!!! Highly recommend!!

Captain Herb was absolutely fantastic from start to finish! He was an incredible captain, host, and tour guide, and made our fishing trip in South Carolina an experience our family won’t forget. We caught 10+ sharks of all different kinds, which was an incredible experience for the kids! What really stood out was how great Captain Herb was with them. He was patient, knowledgeable, and took the time to teach them how to fish properly. He helped them throughout the trip, showed them what to do, and even corrected them when they made mistakes so they could learn and improve. Captain Herb created a fun, safe, and exciting atmosphere while sharing his knowledge and passion for fishing. The kids had an absolute blast, and we couldn’t have asked for a better captain. I booked this charter for me and my boyfriend while he was in town visiting. we are originally from Canada so I thought this would be a great opportunity to catch some things we may not see at home. Captain Herb was very friendly and personable and told us lots about the fishing out here. We made four total catches including one big red drum, two baby sharks, and one 44” bull shark. it was a perfect day on the water and quite relaxing while we waited on the fish. overall an awesome experience and we would totally recommend!! price was also much more reasonable than some other similar charters that were even shorter in duration. the Captain even had water bottles and sodas for us during the trip! we had a lovely time!

We had an incredible experience shark fishing with Captain Herb! We met bright and early for our 7:30 a.m. trip with our three kids, and from the moment we stepped on the boat, Herb was patient, kind, and incredibly knowledgeable. He took the time to help our kids learn the ropes, teaching them how to do things on their own while making sure everyone felt included and had fun. We ended up catching over 8 sharks, and it was an unforgettable experience! We’ve been on several charter fishing trips over the years, and this was by far the best one we’ve ever had. Before heading back to the dock, Captain Herb even took us to see dolphins and gave us extra time on the water, something he certainly didn’t have to do. I told Captain Herb he didnt charge enough because this trip couldnt have been better! My mom, boyfriend and litte one all caught their first shark and the fight they put up was all worth it!!! every angler wants to land their big pole bender and boy they did! Boyfriend’s was 5 ft 12O pounds and too big to bring onboard! we got to see many dolphins and some were at our boat to say hi! the boat ride was incredibe and no one got sea sick even though we had rough waters at first. he shared a lot of info about how to fish, the areas we visited intercoastal and the different waters. history of the areas was interesting. he had everything we needed on board and was so good to us i felt like we made a friend. he stayed aware of the weather as it was iffy and kept us out of the storms and able to continue fishing. he let us bait our own hooks and cut the bait he brought if we wanted to even though he was willing to do it for us. the cost was way under anything i could find elsewhere. from Jacksonville Fl to Hilton Head he was by far the cheapest . we did the 3 hr and he let us have extra time since tide was out at first and i wished we could have tipped him more but our funds were limited! we will be return customers!

We highly recommend Captain Herb!!! We had an absolutely amazing charter with our family of 5, including 2 sixteen year old boys and 8 year old daughter. He was so knowledgeable and personable. We caught 9 sharks, Bull Shark, Black Tipped, Lemon, Bonnet Heads and a massive Sting Ray, the largest being 4.5 feet. Captain Rosenburg was so patient and encouraging helping our daughter reel in her catches. He taught our boys so quickly how to reel in these big sharks. He was so attentive and made sure everyone always had a baited line ready to catch another one. So thankful for the fun, excitement and lifelong memories! We will be booking again!

We had an amazing 3-hour fishing excursion with our guide, Herb! He was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly the entire time. Herb handled all the baiting so my husband, our two young daughters (ages 6 and 7), and I could just focus on fishing and enjoying ourselves. He also made sure to point out the dolphins along the way, which made the trip extra special for the girls. It was the perfect length for little kids and such a wonderful family experience. I highly recommend Herb’s excursion — you won’t be disappointed!

We had an amzing time shark fishing with Captain Herb. He took us to his fishing spot and within 10 minutes we caught a huge finetooth shark about 5.5 feet. Captain Herb handle that shark like how Steve Irvin handled alligator. He has a good sense of humar and very knowledgeable at what he does. if this is your first time fishing or a season fisherman, captain Herb is the guy to take you fishing here in Hilton Island. Highly recommend his charter and will be back in the fall for another fishing trip.

Only caught 2 fish. They just weren’t biting; however, one was a bonnethead shark and one was a 25lb red drum. Landing the red drum wad awesome. Worth $400 for only 2 fish? Debateable, but overall the experience and Herb made up for it. By the end of the night, we were full throttle trying to outrun a pretty bad thunderstorm rolling in. Herb kept us out beyond the 3 hours to keep trying, but the danger of thr storm just forced us in. Yes, I would recommend this to others.
