Lemon Shark, Bull Shark, Bonnethead Shark, Redfish, Blacktip Shark, and more can be found in these waters if conditions are right. On the day of your trip you're likely to bottom fish using light or heavy tackle.
Trips with Fins Up Adventure Charters are fun for all ages, so feel free to make a family day out of it! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. You're welcome to bring snacks!
Capt. Herb will bring you aboard a 27' Center console with room for 6 passengers. It has all the essentials. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. Capt. Herb has rods and reels for you. Live bait is included, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, so all you have to do is look forward to your trip! Have in mind that you may release some fish due to regulations. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish.
It's recommended to bring sunglasses, bottled water, and sunscreen (non-spray). Drinks are included, free of charge. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

We highly recommend Captain Herb!!! We had an absolutely amazing charter with our family of 5, including 2 sixteen year old boys and 8 year old daughter. He was so knowledgeable and personable. We caught 9 sharks, Bull Shark, Black Tipped, Lemon, Bonnet Heads and a massive Sting Ray, the largest being 4.5 feet. Captain Rosenburg was so patient and encouraging helping our daughter reel in her catches. He taught our boys so quickly how to reel in these big sharks. He was so attentive and made sure everyone always had a baited line ready to catch another one. So thankful for the fun, excitement and lifelong memories! We will be booking again!

We had an amazing 3-hour fishing excursion with our guide, Herb! He was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly the entire time. Herb handled all the baiting so my husband, our two young daughters (ages 6 and 7), and I could just focus on fishing and enjoying ourselves. He also made sure to point out the dolphins along the way, which made the trip extra special for the girls. It was the perfect length for little kids and such a wonderful family experience. I highly recommend Herb’s excursion — you won’t be disappointed!
From the moment we arrived at the dock, we knew Captain Herb was the perfect person to lead our family on our first outing on the water. Captain was incredibly professional welcoming us onto the boat, providing safety gear for the children and talking us through how the morning was going to go. He was able to provide history on the area and give insight into the wildlife we'd see as we were on the boat. Despite cold weather and chilly waters, Captain Herb was able to guide us to catch 2 sharks! What a thrill. Our family of 6 (4 kids under13) had a fantastic time on the sunset shark trip! Captain Herb was fun and great w the kids. We caught 2 baby black tips, a lemon shark, a large sting ray, and bonnet head shark. We also saw dolphins including Scar—the dolphin that steals your bait. Lastly, we enjoyed the beautiful sunset and rainbow. We are already looking forward to catching the big one, with Herb, next year!
