These bountiful waters are filled with different types of species, such as Grayling and several types of Trout - Brook, Brown, Rainbow, and Cutthroat.
Captain Anthony will provide you with a range of flies and rigs to help you enhance your fly-fishing skills. He’ll help you understand fish feeding routines and their movement through the water. This is also a good chance to improve your understanding of safe fish handling and how you may contribute to the preservation of these beautiful fishing surroundings.
Bald Mountain Fly Guides exclusively encourages catch-and-release fishing to preserve these streams stocked with fish. To make everyone feel safe, the crew takes extra attention to safety measures and they have been well-trained for whatever Mother Nature can throw at them.
Up to 2 guests can join on these trips. Make sure to bring your fishing license and pack some snacks and drinks for the day. Bald Mountain Fly Guides is happy to guide you to one of the best adventures you’ll ever have.

Half Day Trip – Fly or Spin Fishing
Fly fishing lakes and streams in the Utah mountains for the first time
Brian, Was a professional angler, I didn’t book this trip to fly fish, I booked it to learn how to fly fish correctly and pick a professionals brain. I caught 3 different types of trout and some grayling. We started fishing in an open area until I was comfortable casting and landing fish then Brian started showing me how to fish streams in congested areas, he showed me techniques that I’ve never seen even on YouTube. I learned how to read the water, how to approach a fishing hole. We were hunting fish! When we were done I felt confident I could successfully fly fish in my own! Just like golfing for the first time, it’s recommend to take a few lessons, same goes for fly fishing! We talked about gear selection and what flys to choose. I had so much fun. Thanks Brian

Great Experience
Thanks to Captain Anthony Poole for giving our Grandson a remarkably successful experience. Luca caught 12 fish on this trip and loved every minute of it. This experience for our grandson who has very limited vision, opened up an adventure for him that he was able to thoroughly enjoy despite his visual impairment.

My 14-year-old son had an incredible time with Anthony! He caught fish in several hidden, locally-known spots and learned a lot along the way. Anthony was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the trip truly memorable. Highly recommend for a fun rewarding fishing experience!
