Heber Valley has a fish with your name on it, so let ProWest Fishing help you catch it! With Captain Weston at the helm, you’ll have a knowledgeable and experienced guide.
In Deer Creek Reservoir you are most likely to catch Rainbow trout and smallmouth Bass. You may also catch brown trout, walleye, largemouth bass, perch and bluegill. Depending on the fish you’re after, you may find yourself light tackle fishing, trolling, jigging, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Thinking of bringing the whole family? Kids are absolutely welcome! We have life jacket sizes for all ages, 12 and younger are required to wear a life jacket at all times.
You’ll find yourself aboard a 16’ Pro-V Tracker that holds up to 3 additional passengers. It comes with downriggers, fish finders and all the essentials. You’ll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, as well as lures.
You will need to pay for day access to the state park and also buy a local fishing license for the day of the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain.
The Charter welcomes you to keep your own catch, and we will filet or gut your fish for you. We also have great recipes on cooking fish. We strive to get you quantity and big fish to keep, but also catch and release giant fish that have taken 7-10+ years to grow to what they have now become. Catch and release allows others to have the same experience of catching that big fish in the future, and conservation for future fish.
Some essentials to bring are sunglasses, sunscreen (non-spray), hats, drinks, breakfast and or lunch. Alcohol is not allowed. Also remember coat/jacket if it is cold out.
Changes to dates or cancellations may happen due to inclement weather, typically if there are unsafe conditions such as lightning, 20+ mph winds, or other dangerous conditions. We can always postpone or cancel with refund.

Fathers Day Fishing Trip
My brother and I got this fishing charter for my dad's fathers day gift this year and Weston did not let us down! The weather was great for it being in July other than a small storm that rolled through but still kept catching fish the whole time. We caught a total of 12 fish (8 trout and 4 walleye) that we kept and Weston was great at getting us on them and knowing exactly what to throw. He also cleaned all the fish for us at the end of the day and we left with big smiles and a ton of beautiful fillets. I would highly recommend Weston and will definitely book with him again in the future.

Beautiful views and healthy fish
Weston was very friendly, accommodating, and listened to the request of fish we wanted to go after! We caught plenty of healthy rainbows and a walleye! He was a wealth of information for the area and gave us many tips! We’d for sure book with him again, if we’re back in the area. Thank you!!

Unforgettable Fishing Adventure in Utah
My son and I recently visited Utah from Texas and booked a fishing charter with Weston. It was an incredible experience! Weston is not only friendly and welcoming but also very knowledgeable, which made our time on the water enjoyable. We managed to catch about 20 trout, making the trip even more rewarding. It was a relaxing day, and we appreciated his great company. We’re already looking forward to coming back this summer to do it all over again! Highly recommend!

Great day on the water!
We had a terrific day on the water of Deer Creek Reservoir with Captain Weston. The day started off chilly but warmed up nicely. We only caught a few fish but it wasn’t due to lack of effort by Weston - he worked so hard to get us on the fish and it seemed no one on the lake was having much luck. But we really enjoyed learning from Weston and getting to know him. We would definitely recommend using Weston and plan to do so again on our next to Utah

Great time on the water!
Weston was very friendly and knowledgeable. My Dad and I spent most of the day fishing and it didn’t even feel like we were on a guided trip, it felt like we were just fishing with another friend who helped us with everything! We were also running late to dock but he didn’t make us feel rushed or pressured to get going which was very nice. The whole experience was a lot of fun, he even helped me catch my first bass!
