J Beard Guide Service will be wherever the fish are at that moment. Captain Jason will be be in the willamette valley Spring and Summer chasing spring chinook or summer steelhead. In the fall he will be going after costal coho and king salmon on the Siletz, Siuslaw or Umpqua river. Wither brings more costal steelhead from the Siuslaw Siletz and Umpqua rivers.
You will be fishing out of the spacious 18 foot Clackamax drift boat or the 22 foot 4 seat Koffler depending on the season.

The experience was better than I expected. We fisher the Mckenzie and jason showed us 3 different styles of fishing and did an excellent job navigating the boat, communicating techniques and reading the river. Jason handled baiting the rods and all of the other dirty work. We cought chinkook salmon and got to also watch him fillet it!
This was the first time my son and I went fishing with a guide. Jason is very knowledgeable and taught us everything we needed to know. He has complete knowledge of the river and tried diligently to find us fish. My son caught a whopper but that was the only luck of the day. We had a great time though.

That was a great fishing trip with captain Jason. We capught a lot of chinook salmons and had a lot of fun!!! I would recomend Jason as the best fisnig guide!
