J Beard Guide Service will be wherever the fish are at that moment. Captain Jason will be in the Willamette Valley Spring and Summer chasing Spring Chinook or Summer Steelhead. In the fall, he will be going after Coastal Coho and King Salmon on the Siletz, Siuslaw, or Umpqua rivers. Weather brings more coastal Steelhead from the Siuslaw, Siletz, and Umpqua rivers.

J Beard Guide Service is a kid-friendly charter service, so get 'em offline and onto the water! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Don't forget to bring snacks for a boost of energy when needed!

Your excursion begins aboard a 22' 4-seat Koffler aluminum fishing boat with room for 4 passengers. It comes with all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. You'll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you.

Before coming aboard, it will be necessary to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.

A few items to bring include sunglasses, sunscreen (non-spray), bottled water, and a hat. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
