Make the most of your time in San Diego and go fishing with Fish Further Charters.
There's no guarantee when you're fishing, but just some of the species you can catch around here include Skipjack, Calico Bass, California Sheephead, Lingcod, Striped Marlin, Rockfish, White Seabass, Yellowtail Amberjack, Bluefin Tuna, Swordfish, and more, depending on when you go.
On the day of your trip you're likely to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle. Capt. Dan can also help you try kite fishing.
Families making of a day of it will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board. Feel free to bring your own snacks so that nobody gets grumpy on an empty belly!
Your excursion begins aboard a 28' Sportfishing with room for 4 passengers. It has all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. There's a toilet on board for your convenience.
Your captain will provide rods and reels, along with lures. Live bait is included, but you should ask the captain whether you'll be catching it yourself.
Before coming aboard, you may need to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.
Don't leave home without sunscreen (non-spray), a hat, bottled water, and sunglasses. Drinks are included, free of charge. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be some light snacks provided on board.

We were fishing for taco meat and Dan had us catching Rock Fish within Minutes and moved us around to keep us on fish the entire trip. We caught four different species of Rock Fish, Dan filet them all up for us and we get to fly back to Montana with a cooler full of fish. Just a great morning.

1/2 Day Trip – Inshore on July 5, 2023 • 3 adultsBooking a trip with Dan was fast and simple! The communication was great as far as directions and time or place to meet up. Right away at the dock Dan made us feel very welcome upon boarding the boat. Dan is an extremely nice person and very knowledgeable of the water and different species of fish we caught. The boat is spacious and up-to-date on ALL pertinent safety gear and equipment. We did a half day charter with 3 in our party and within 1-2 hour mark we were at our limit for Rockfish. Dan put us on the fish immediately. Quite a few times we had "instabite" and "doubles". Great time had by all and will be booking with Dan for any future trips back to California. Thanks Dan, we had a great time!

We were catching fish on their well maintained boat from the first stop. Captain Dan was patient and helpful. Don’t think my daughter had to touch bait or the catch as Dan was right there to help. Next time if she wants to go she’s baiting her own hook at least. I think we had about 20 fish for our short trip out. Would definitely recommend and use again, both of the first timers and myself had a great time catching fish with Fish Further charters.

Family Fishing Fun
12 Hour Trip – Offshore on August 4, 2022 • 4 adults • 1 childMy three kids and I had a great day on the water with Captain Dan. The boat was clean and well maintained. It was loaded up with plenty of bait fish, something that has been a problem on other charters. We ended up with Tuna, Yellow Tail and Dorado. All of us got a couple. Dan went the extra mile, well miles really, to find us more and bigger fish. He was fun and interactive with the kids which is also something that we have mad a mixed experience with on other charters. Tangled lines, lost bait and gear, not following instructions exactly can cause other Captains to get frustrated, Dan was patient and understanding and made sure we all had a good experience.

While working on larger sport boats and 6-pack boats in San Diego over the years, he acquired is 100 Ton masters license. He knows the industry very well and is well in touch with other captians on other boats, which is a very deadly weapon. From inshore to offshore and islands, he knows the industry well and thrives to put his customers on fish and give them the most memorable and personable fishing experience possible.

You can cancel or modify your booking up to 14 days before the trip date, free of charge. If you cancel or modify your booking later, or fail to show up, you'll forfeit 100% of what you've paid.
