Besides catching fish, he loves sharing his knowledge with other people, so starting a fishing charter was a perfect choice for him. Anglers of all skill levels are welcome to join on these trips. Even if you're not passionate about fishing, you'll enjoy being in nature and learning something new.
The trips take place on a 21'Lund Fisherman that accommodates up to 4 guests. Built in 2023, this aluminum boat is powered by 200 HP Mercury engine, that help to quickly reach high speeds. Besides navigational electronics, this vessel is rigged with the latest in Garmin technology including livescope, safety gear, and a live bait tank.
There are different fishing locations you can visit, all depending on the fish you want to catch and the season. Visit Oneida Lake for Walleye and Yellow Perch, Cayuga Lake for Lake Trout, Brown Trout, and Rainbow Trout, or Lake Ontario tributaries for Chinook and Coho Salmon, or Brown Trout, and Steelhead. Please make sure to check the availability dates with Captain Jason first.
All fishing equipment is included in the price. After the trip, you get to keep the catch, and Capt. Jason will clean and fillet it free of charge on Oneida lake charters. Make sure to purchase your fishing licenses and pack some food and drinks for the day.

As an avid fisherman I know “getting them to eat” can be challenging at times. But that’s fishin’. My experiences with Jason have been excellent. We do a lot of catchin! Jason’s boat and gear are top notch. He’s friendly and easy to talk to. He doesn’t bust your chops if you “horse one” and lose it. What more could you ask for in a guide. I’ll be back next year!

Jason was an excellent, knowledgeable, and a very enthusiastic captain. Even though the fishing forecast for our planned event was rated very difficult due to the mayflies hatching and larva covering the top of the lake, which meant most of the walleye population have had already eaten and no doubt contebt, we were still able to bring home enough fish for the evening‘s dinner. He was very patient not only with my father and myself but also with my two children who were aboars. He’s an excellent teacher and was very kind and patient. I highly recommend his services if you’re planning a trip to Oneida lake!
Jason was an outstanding captain and made the entire fishing trip enjoyable from start to finish. He kept all of the rods rigged, bait fresh, and lines in the water so we could focus on fishing and enjoying the day. The action was steady, and we had a great catch that included walleye, perch, and sunfish. Jason shared helpful tips throughout the trip, worked hard to keep everyone on fish, and ensured everything ran smoothly. I highly recommend booking a trip with Jason. The professionalism, preparation, and dedication made for a memorable experience on the water.
