Let Captain Alex Cruz be your guide to some of the top fishing locations on Texas’ long, beautiful Gulf Coast. He’s based out of Port Aransas, but he fishes all the water in the Coastal Bend from Aransas Pass down to Corpus Chisti Bay. From beginners to seasoned anglers, everybody is welcome to join this adventure!
You’ll be fishing on a 23’ Majek illusion that accommodates up to 4 guests. This bay boat is powered by a 200 HP Suzuki engine that reaches the speed of 40 knots. The boat features navigational electronics, safety gear, and a live bait tank. Enjoy the ride as you’re reaching bountiful fishing spots.
Captain Alex specializes in rod and reel techniques for catching Redfish, Spotted Seatrout, Black Drum, and Flounder. There’s a variety of fishing techniques to try out, and it all depends on how much you want to challenge yourself and what you want to catch. Always expect the unexpected, as you never know what’s going to bite.
Your guide will provide all the equipment and bait you’ll need for the ideal inshore fishing adventure. You get to keep the catch and Capt. Alex is going to clean and fillet it for you free of charge. You only need to pack your fishing license, some snacks, and drinks.

Great Morning Bay Fishing Trip

My son in law, 8 year old grandson and I fished a morning bay fishing trip with Capt. Alex. The pre trip communication was excellent, the boat easy to find in the marina (look for the green lights!), and Alex worked hard all morning to put us in position to catch fish. We limited out on speckled trout and caught and a released a number of fish outside the slot. Redfish were not biting as well but Alex kept us moving until my grandson caught his first big redfish. He was pumped. Alex spent a lot of time teaching him how to fish. Overall the perfect trip. Highly recommend fishing with Alex.

Had an unforgettable time despite the fish challenging our patience. The captain's instinct to know when to move and when to hold steady was spot on, allowing the fish to come to us. The boat was just the right size for our trio, with the potential to welcome more anglers. Uplifting music filled the air, setting a perfect vibe, and even a light rain shower couldn’t dampen our spirits. This is a journey I’m eager to embark on again. Good morning with Captain Alex Cruz

Can't go wrong going with Captain Cruz. He has top of the line equipment including Penn CNC reels and Castaway inshore rods. His Majek boat is excellent with the latest technology. It was hard to get my limit of trout, but Alex didn't give up until I did. Please listen to him when he tells you how and when to set the hook. If I did it wouldn't have taken so long to limit out. Got two real nice redfish before we ran out of time. Great guide! Great adventure!

As an experienced fisherman I really enjoyed my day on the water with Alex. It’s rare that you fish with a guide who has the best reels, rods, line and boat available. I’m a gear snob with a real nice boat and excellent gear and Alex’s boat and gear is even better than mine. He’s also very knowledgeable and was able to put us on fish in really tough and windy conditions. He’s also friendly, easy to get along with and offers tips as needed but also lets more experienced fishermen figure things out as the day goes along. He’s a great teacher and I have no doubt that he’d be a really good captain to take families and inexperienced anglers out for enjoyable and productive days of fishing.

Had a great experience!! Website easy to use! Booking, detailed information, and payment was a breeze. Captain Alex was Awesome! Very knowledgeable, friendly, patient, and good sense of humor. He made our 5 hour trip very enjoyable and we limited out 3 people. We wanted to catch fish and that's exactly what we did. Will definitely do it again!
