Book your next trip with Stay Salty Charters and find out what the fishing in Port Aransas is all about. Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Charles can tell you all about them.
Depending on the time of year, you might hook into Black Drum, Flounder, Redfish, Blacktip Shark, Sheepshead, Speckled Trout, Spotted Seatrout, and anything else that bites. Depending on the species you're after, you may find yourself light tackle fishing, popping, drifting, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Families who love fishing together will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Don't forget to bring snacks – luckily, Capt. Charles will have some on board!
You'll be dropping lines from a 23' Explorer bay boat that can carry up to 4 passengers. It comes with all the essentials. Capt. Charles will supply rods and reels for you. Live bait is on offer, but you should ask the captain whether you'll be catching it yourself.
Trips are run with the help of a First Mate. A 10–20% tip is customary to show your appreciation for their hard work.
Before coming aboard, it will be necessary to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.
It's recommended to bring sunblock (non-spray), and sunglasses. There will be some bottled water on offer, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own drinks. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
Now, come aboard with Stay Salty Charters and get hooked!
Also if there is a specific date that you want and its blocked out on calender shoot me a message and lets see what we can do to accommodate you! Tight lines everyone.

hey I haven't had a trip with my oldest son for several years so we wanted to do something together drove down from Kansas and Colorado check out the Riverwalk at San Antonio and I think we caught maybe 10 or 12 of these saltwater catfish that the captain Baker hated I could see pretty bad spines the barbs on catfish can be painful and he simply would take a pair of pliers and remove them from the hooks so they were no good to eat and I believe it we did catch two red fish the one might have been 3 lbs 4 lbs delicious how to cook th at a place called fins although there were several other places we could have chosen wonderful experience Captain Baker took us to a lot of different spots in the four and a half hours he gave us thank you sir

thank you guys can’t wait to do it again

The weather was great, we headed out and fished several locations. This early in March we caught Red fish and a few hard head catfish. I even caught 1 Blue Crab that made it to the deck and ran for his life back into the water. Just made me laugh. We also saw dolphins up close to the boat and an Osprey. Good conversation, and laugh's very relaxing. The caption was Not aggressive when coming in or out of Port and gave us a much smoother ride, which my wife and I appreciated. Extremely hard to think of anything they could improve on. I wouldn't change anything. Next time we are down this way, we are definitely booking with him again.

thank you guys so much for booking with me it was a pleasure
We had a great trip despite some challenges for our great captain. Our inital trip was booked for an afternoon that was totally blown out. Captain Charlie contacted us to see about rearranging so that we would have a better chance at catching. We rescheduled and got a great afternoon. The wind was still up but Captain Charlie took us to a nice spot. We had a wonderful time, caught some beautiful fish, and are looking forward to more trips in the future. We appreciated the flexibility, local knowledge, and great attitude. Thanks for making my kids’ trip!

thank you guys so much I’m glad yall were able to catch amd keep some fish it was a blast!!!
Captain Charles was awesome. We caught a limit, with just me and my 10 year old son. It was tough fishing because of all the fresh water dumped in by the storm, but captain Charles put us in a spot where we caught a lot of fish. Unfortunately, they came up an inch to an inch and a half short of the state size limit. All in all an awesome experience and we plan on booking a couple more trips with him later this summer. I would 100% recommend Captain Charles, especially to anyone with younger children..
Capt. Charlie and his deck hand put us on the fish immediately and we continued to catch them from there on. including tournament sized Redfish! it was full service with an experienced captain and a comfortable boat for my wife as well who was also new to fishing amd they really took care of her. Not to mention they were just cool and easy going guys to hang out with. We will definitely be booking again in the future! Thank you Saty Salty Fishing Charters!

thank you guys it was a blast
