Cliff’s Chinook Charters
Join Cliff's Chinook Charters in Comox, and explore the waters of the eastern edge of Vancouver Island! Captain Cliff Moors has over 30 years of saltwater fishing experience, so he'll make sure that you have an amazing time, and that you reel in some prized fish.
You'll be traveling on your captain's 25' Aquasport cuddy cabin, with lots of deck space to fight some huge Salmon species! It can accommodate up to 4 anglers, and features a private head and a shower. The boat is also equipped with a wireless trolling engine that allows you to troll quietly when targeting easily spooked fish.
Capt. Cliff specializes in fishing for Salmon, and uses bottom fishing, trolling, and jigging techniques. The tackle includes custom made Sage rods and Abel Mooching reels, which the captain and crew find to be the most effective combination. You'll target Chinook, King, Coho, Silver, Sockeye, Pink, and Chum Salmon, as well as Halibut.
The use of the company's tackle and lures is included in the price, and the crew can clean and fillet your catch for you free of charge at the end of your fishing excursion. Seeing as the captain is also a Red Seal Chef, he can even send you home with a mouth-watering recipe or two so you can enjoy a sumptuous meal at the end of the day!
You'll explore the Strait of Georgia, overlooked by the majestic Comox Glacier in the company of whales, seals, and other members of this fantastic ecosystem. Captain Cliff moves between Campbell River, Black Creek and Comox, depending on where the fish are at the moment.
As regulations often change, please check if you can keep the catch before the booking (google it or ask the captain)

I took my two small boys on their first ever fishing charter for salmon, and it was a remarkable experience. Cliff was quick and responsive when booking. Daryl took us out and was an awesome guide. He was very knowledgeable of the area and ensured we were catching fish non-stop. We were fortunate enough to see grey whales in the distance most of the time we were fishing. Myself and my kids both rate the experience 5 stars.

Thanks Joel love to see the kids smiling!
We could only keep eight legal koho salmon but there were four in my party and for a five hour stent, we figured that we each caught 11 per person. when we went into dock, other charters caught 1 salmon all day! Cliff is quite low key, informative of the method of how to fish (as none of have ever done it before) and he took us to where they are!! What a blast!!! I recommend Cliffs Charters every day and twice on Sundays!!!!!

Thanks Bill it was great meeting you and your kids good job 👌
Captain cliff was away, but daryl was a star in his absence. Boat was tidy and efficient. Daryl knew when, where and how to catch salmon this day. He handled boat and gear like a pro in the choppy conditions. Almost non stop action. Four of us caught our limits on hatchery coho and wild chinook, including one great fish just inside the limit for keeping. Threw many wild coho back as well.

Thank you so much for joining us! Great catch!
Fantastic day on tje water. Our guide Darryl put us on fish was extrmely knowledgeable and made sure we had all the information needed to catch and land fish as well as keeping us safe. I would do it again with Cliffs Charters in a heatbeat. Made my trip west well worth it.

Thanks so much Jim!

Everything was well organized, the guide was knowledgeable and friendly, and the experience overall was fantastic. Highly recommend for anyone looking to enjoy a fun and relaxing day on the water.

Thanks for joining us!
