Fishing around here will often see you targeting Chinook Salmon, Coho Salmon, Chum Salmon, Pink Salmon, Sockeye Salmon, Cod, Lingcod, and more if conditions allow. You'll target your catch by spinning, trolling, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Trips with Campbell River Fishing Guide are great for kids, so feel free to make a family day out of it! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Feel free to bring your own snacks to stay fueled throughout your trip!
Your fishing machine for the day is a 28' Armstrong sportfishing vessel that can carry up to 7 passengers. It has downriggers, a fighting chair, and everything you need for a productive day on the water. Enjoy a heated cabin for chilly mornings, spacious seating, and room for up to seven anglers—making it the most spacious fishing charter in Campbell River. The upstairs deck provides stunning panoramic views. Rods, reels, and tackle are provided, along with lures.
Before coming aboard, you'll need to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.
You can't go wrong when you bring sunglasses, a hat, and sunblock (non-spray). Water will be available for you. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be some light snacks included on board.
Now and then the fish might get away, but a day on the water never should. Time to make it happen, with Campbell River Fishing Guide!

Me and my two sons went to Campbell River to catch fish, 9 salmon, 1 ling cod ,1 rock cod, over two days. Some got away, some were too small. We had two different Guides, each with different gear, one was better than the other. We were the same inexperienced fishers. The second day we were treated with a spectacular view of the humpbacks feeding and breeching for over 4 hours. Spectacular. We were landing a Chinook and 60 feet away two humpbacks broke the surface in a feeding frenzy, mouths agap, oblivious to us trying to reel in our fish!

absolute recommend justins and his crew. liam our charter captain was absolutely fantastic very attentive and knowledgeable. Would recommend 100%.
Great trip, Robert our guide was fantastic.
Caught a Coho within minutes! And then we had to be patient for a bit. But the captain knew all the best spots and we caught our limit. It was pretty rough though with 4-5 foot waves and almost continuous rain. But that's what you can get on the west coast of Canada. All good!
We went on a full day fishing journey to Butte inlet. Had the time of our lives. Caught fish had fun. Couldn't ask for anything more. Thanks to our captain Justin!

Thanks for coming Luke! Looking forward to next time.
