Come join Adirondack TrOutfitters off the beaten path and find the places that make the Adirondacks so famous! Explore and navigate through the lakes, channels, and rivers to find some of the best fishing NY has to offer. All of our trips are customizable to fit your group or individual, once booked you can make your trip your own with starting time and the different fishing styles and locations.

On these guided fishing trips, you'll be fishing out of your choice of vessel ranging from small crafts 'Canoe/ Aluminum Driftboat' all the way up to a 24' pontoon boat that accommodates up to 15 guests. She's powered by a 60 HP Mariner engine, has navigational electronics and safety gear, and also a cooler.

When you start your trip with Captain Ryan, you won't just be catching fish. You'll be learning some new things about ecology and about your target species' natural history. This crew focuses on conservation science, so they'll share the stories of Adirondack fauna and flora to provide you with useful knowledge for your future fishing adventures.

Great time on lakes

We spent two days with Captain Ryan and Lake Placid and Saranac Lake. We caught a bunch of fish both days. The captain has a great boat and great equipment. He was also very helpful with my boys who came along and fished.  Highly recommend him.

Highly recommend ADK TrOutfitters for a killer fishing trip!

Had an awesome day fishing Upper Saranac Lake with my dad and brothers, thanks to our guide Ryan Baker from ADK Troutfitters. Ryan’s super knowledgeable, a great teacher, and a lot of fun to fish with. We crushed it with 5 pike, a few largemouth, and tons of smallies! Don’t look any further, this is your guide!

Memorable Day

6 hr fishing trip on July 25, 2024 • 2 adults

First time out using a guide and first time fishing in the Adirondacks.  This was also the first real fishing trip for my youngest son. 

Ryan was wonderful from the start, quietly managing everything and providing helpful advice when needed but stepping back when we were making progress.  

We caught around 10 bass, four quite nice sizes. Two larger ones were caught by my son, which really made his day. 

I highly recommend Ryan, who knows this region really well and guarantees you some great fishing.

Bass and pike fishing Lower Saranac Lake with Ryan Baker

This is the third time that I have made a trip with Ryan and each trip has been excellent! I have been fishing for about 70 yrs and still learned new techniques from Ryan each time. Most importantly Ryan is very personable and will give you a hand with your gear if you need it.  Ryan "goes the extra mile."  I have fished up and down the east coast, fresh and salt, and highly recommend Ryan!

Special 4 hour trip for Robert Rizzo on July 8, 2023 • 3 adults

We had a fantastic morning trip with Brett.  He was the man.  Not only was he friendly and informative, and made my son and I feel very welcome, he knows exactly what he is doing and where to go.  We could tell from the first cast that we were in expert hands!  We ended up landing 4 or 5 really big Laketrout.  Amazing!
