Coach Cole’s Guide Service is here to help you experience the stunning waters of Little Elm.
These waters are known for Striped Bass, White Bass, Catfish, Hybrid Striped Bass, and more – with any luck, it won’t take long to hook into some.
You can expect to do some spinning, jigging, or maybe something more specialized in this area. You will be able to keep any legal species. Plus, you can have your catch cleaned.
You’ll be dropping lines from a 24’ Haynie bay boat with space for 6 passengers. It has all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. Your captain will provide rods and reels, along with lures. Live bait is on offer, but it’s good to ask about this so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.
You might need to get a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off-limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.
It’s never a bad idea to bring sunglasses, bottled water, and sunblock (non-spray). Capt. Chad will have some drinks available for you.

If you're like me and trying to choose from the hundreds of guides in the north Dallas area, look no further than Coach Cole. We're from Colorado and traveled to the area for a youth baseball tournament. When we found out Cole was a local high school football coach, we knew we had the right kind of guy for us! Our time on the water was so much fun and we caught a bunch of huge fish. We appreciated that Cole had already took his boat out very early the morning of our trip to catch live bait and scope out the key areas where we'd be fishing. After our arrival, he took us to those locations and was very knowledgeable about the river channel in the lake and where specific fish would be given the weather conditions and time of day. Next time our travels brig us this way, we are sure to connect with Cole again!
