Blue Sky Fishing 30A is a locally-owned family fishing charter operating out of Panama City Beach. It specializes in making your fishing experience one of a lifetime – killing it in kindness and fun, making memories, and hooking fish for dinner along the way. Customers fish like friends and leave like family!
Capt. Nick will do his best to make sure you have a fun day full of fishing. This involves 4 to 6-hour trips, mainly fishing for Snapper, King Mackerel, Dolphin, Spanish Mackerel, and Triggerfish, depending on the season and conditions on the day. On these trips, you can expect to use techniques such as light tackle, bottom fishing, big game fishing, and jigging.
Your fishing adventure starts on 'Miss Lucille', a beautiful 24' Polar Express Offshore Series powered by twin Yamaha engines. This charming 6-seater is fully equipped with a well for live bait, a fish-box to keep your catch fresh, and a nice-sized cooler for cold beverages or snacks.
The area of fishing along the Panhandle offers an excellent opportunity to deep sea fish close to shore without having to go miles and miles out. Perfect for avid fishermen, beginners, and kids to get that first experience of deep sea fishing!
You leave from the pass and never go more than 5 miles out from the beach, and then you go east to west parallel to the shore, hitting fishing holes all along the way. You'll always be able to see the beach!
All rods, reels, and terminal tackle are included in the price so you can focus on what really matters, fishing. Your trip will include all the necessary fishing licenses for the day. Bait isn't included in the trip price, so make sure to check with the captain what your options are before the trip. The crew will clean and fillet your catch for you to take home at the end of the trip.

My son and I arrived at 6 am .Capt Josh was ready to go. He explained to my son and I what we were going to do and we headed out. My son had never fished in salt water and its been way to long for me. Josh was so patient with both of us. He untangled me several times and even hooked a really big fish for TJ to reel in. Josh only threw me over board once JUSTKIDDING. I will come back and request Josh to take us out again, hopefully when I can keep 2 of those Snappers I caught. Thank yall for helping this mom out we had a great time....

This adventurous water-loving dad-and-son duo also did various inshore and offshore diving on the reefs. As Capt. Nick grew older, his passion and love for the water and fishing never waned. He used to work as a divemaster on a dive boat for five years. By 2015, he started guiding independently. The captain says: 'When I'm out on the water, I turn everything else off and separate what's going on out on the land. It's the challenge of finding fish and getting on a good bite, and then seeing the joy on people's faces when they catch something – especially the first time they reel in that really big fish!' For Capt. Nick, it's the joy and excitement many encounter fishing that keeps him out on the water. Through deep sea fishing on the Gulf of Mexico, he works hard to bring to life the stories people have only read and heard about!
