Mandrake is a big game fishing charter boat operated by Aquasares, with Captain Bruno Sares, and first mate Guilherme Mestre.
A 3 time Nacional Big Game fishing Champions and 2028, and 2 Times winning team of the Tavira Offshore Classic.
Their goal is to make sure their clients/friends get the unique experience of fighting a big fish, either Giant Bluefin Tuna, Big Blue Marlin, or the elusive White Marlin.

The boat is a very well restored Lurs 35' Tournament Flybridge, powered by twin 350HP Caterpillar engines, that cruise at 18kn and have a top velocity of 25kn. This sportfishing vessel has everything you need for a day on the water, and more. You'll find a galley, a private bathroom, a bed, and a fighting chair. Enjoy a spacious deck for your fishing battles.

The trip will take you anywhere from 5 to 15 miles off the coast, where you can target Bluefin Tuna, White Marlin, and all game fish. Eventually, you can set your sights on Blue Marlin and go 45 miles out to Picos Herminios, a seamount offshore that is a 'Pit Stop' for pelagic billfish, a total must when it comes to fishing grounds.

You'll be provided with top-quality equipment from Shimano, Sunrise, Avet, Penn, Fronteira lures, Mustad, Eagle Claw, Iland lures, Squid nation teasers, and others. Your fishing licenses are also covered, as well as soft drinks and light lunch. Feel free to bring your favorite snacks and drinks and don't forget your sun protection.

What an incredible experience with the Mandrake Fishing team! The crew was professional, friendly, and made the whole trip unforgettable. We were lucky enough to catch 4 marlins – truly the adventure of a lifetime. Highly recommend to anyone looking for the ultimate fishing experience!

Amazing day with Mandrake charters!

Had an awesome experience with Mandrake Charters yesterday . Started out with non-stop action on Mahi a few miles out and after loading the box headed out 10-12 miles for White Marlin.
After a couple hrs of fish just having a look at our teaser spread we found the feeding birds and had Two double hook ups in a row! We landed 3 of the 4 on the double ups and had multiple more strikes landing one more awesome fish estimated at 130lbs.

Truly a dream trip out of Tariva , the crew comprised of family and friends on the Mandrake was a joy to spend the day with and i will never forget the experience of a lifetime .

Giant tuna fishing

Bluefin Tuna - Full Day on June 16, 2025 • 1 adult

I showed up, knowing that I was about a month early to catch any tuna. My goal was to learn about the fishery and how the locals have learned to catch these giant tuna over the last seven years.

Guillermo, my captain, was extremely knowledgeable and willing to share his local secrets. We had a great time and I learned a ton!

I have a recommend mandrake fishing and Captain Guillermo.

Mahi mahi and marlin fishing

The crew was awesome and very helpful, i caught one of my dream fish (mahi mahi)!
We couldnt catch any marlin what we really wanted, but the crew tried everything to catch one, so i am really grateful for all of them!
Hope next year i can come back for that marlin and with a bigger dream to catch a real monster tuna!

Come back for the Marlin.... That is also fun, this year the weather must Change a lot on the past 3 days...
And the Giant BlueFin. Is in July... Big massive BlueFin Tuna from end o June to end of July...
