Fish aboard a 26’ Starfisher 840 with a 230 HP Volvo Penta KAMD43P 169kW built in 2002, restored in 2017, and perfectly maintained up to this day. This beauty is ready for blue water battles, with outriggers, downriggers, a fighting chair, and the latest electronics to make sure you find the fish in no time.
It can cater to up to four guests and features life rafts for 10 people, Humminbird Helix 10 GPS and fishfinder, satellite mobile phone IsatPhone2, live bait tank, and many other goodies. The boat also comes with a bed, comfortable seats, bathroom, kitchen with a refrigerator and an ice box, microwave, multimedia system, and a TV with sport channels.
You’ll have the opportunity to fish for pelagic species following sustainability regulations (mostly tag and release, but you’ll get to keep Mahi). The captain will take you after Blue and White Marlin, Swordfish, Bluefin Tuna, Bigeye Tuna, Mako Shark, Mahi, and others up to 45 miles offshore. The big game season in Algarve opens in June/July and goes until September/October (sometimes later, depending on the weather).
The charter will cover all the fishing licenses, along with the best gear by Shimano and Penn, lures, and bait. Spearfishing and snorkeling equipment is also included, recommended on longer trips. You will also have quality drinks and traditional Portuguese snacks on board.
