On Duty – Extreme and Fun Fishing
On Duty Sea Lovers invites you to experience the stunning waters of Faro.
You're likely to fish for Common Pandora, Mahi Mahi, Gilt-head (Seabream), Atlantic Mackerel, Blue Marlin, White Marlin, Mako Shark, Albacore Tuna, Bigeye Tuna, Blackfin Tuna, Bluefin Tuna, Skipjack Tuna, and more, depending on when you go. For these species, you're likely to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle. For the more adventurous among you, there's spearfishing.
Thinking of bringing the whole family? Kids are absolutely welcome! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. If you have pets (dog, cat) they are welcome aboard as well. You're welcome to bring snacks – luckily, Capt. Carlos will have some on board!
Capt. Carlos welcomes you aboard a 32' Rodman sportfishing vessel that can carry up to 6 passengers. It comes with outriggers, a fighting chair, and all the essentials. There's a toilet on board for your convenience, a bedroom, a small saloon to rest and relax. Small kitchen as well. Capt. Carlos has rods and reels for you, as well as lures. Live bait is included, but it's good to ask about this so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
Trips are run with the help of a First Mate. A 10–20% tip is customary to show your appreciation for their hard work.
There's no need to buy a fishing license, just show up ready for some fishing! Keep in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. If you don't know what to expect, ask the captain.
Some essentials to bring are sunglasses, a hat, and sunblock (non-spray). Drinks are included, free of charge. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be food and some light snacks available on board.

We had a nice trip even though the wind and waves were challenging. Be sure to take pills of you are not used to rough waters. The ones who did had a great day on On Duty. Carlos is a nice guy who takes his enterprise seriously. 👍
Thanks Nigel, all of you were warriors in the sea, not good conditions but good mood aboard over passed that. Perhaps another time for other kind of fish. My regards to all of you, Carlos
Karl was a pleasure to see you again and to have you aboard. All the best to all of you. Carlos and Gui.
My group of six had an amazing time with Carlos and his son Gui! They were helpful and we caught so much fish!
