Based out of South Padre Island, Captain Heath Schley can take you to numerous fishing grounds and show you the beauty of fishing in this area. From inshore and backcountry waters to reefs and wrecks, he’ll take you to the best spots and make sure you have the best chance of catching fish.
Your adventure starts on a 24’ Majek Reaper bay boat that can safely take up to 4 guests. It runs on a 300 HP Suzuki engine, uses GPS and a fishfinder, along with other navigation gear, and also comes with a livewell. The boat will provide a safe and quick ride to your target spots, with everything you need for a productive day.
On your trip, you and the captain will have plenty of fun trying to catch Flounder, Speckled Trout, Redfish, and Black Drum. To do so, you can use bottom fishing, drift fishing, and popping on light tackle. You’re welcome to keep your catch and take it home or feel free to just release it back into the water.
Capt. Heath will supply all the rods, reels, tackle, and lures needed for the trip. He’ll also cover you for drinks and offer a free fish cleaning service after the trip. Before coming on board, all you need to do is get a fishing license and bring some snacks.

What a fantastic morning on the bay at SPI with Captain Heath. He knew exactly where to go to get all the fish we wanted. Had a limit of trout in less than an hour and then spent 3.5 hours searching for other fish all over the bay. Caught 2 huge reds that were 35-45 lbs each and then 2 nice black drums. Worked easily with our first time 8 year old fisherman, patient and very helpful, a fantastic teacher on what to do and how to get the fish to the boat. Highly recommend and we’ll be back with Heath again next time we’re in town.
Capt Heath put us on the fish early and limited out on trout in about an hour. His knowledge of the area was fantastic and took us to some great spots.

You can cancel or modify your booking up to 14 days before the trip date, free of charge. If you cancel or modify your booking later, or fail to show up, you'll forfeit 100% of what you've paid.
