Running angling trips out of Holden Beach, Sorta Salty Fishing Charters will take you exploring the local waters in style. Run by Capt. Keith Eddins, he'll take you fishing the inshore and nearshore waters, targeting a whole host of different species.
Capt. Keith will employ a variety of techniques to help you land your prized catch. Depending on what's biting and what you want to fish for, you could be trolling, bottom fishing, jigging, popping, spinning, or drift fishing. Some of the species you'll encounter on your day out include King Mackerel, Cobia, Redfish, Flounder, Speckled Trout, and Black Drum.
Your fishing adventure starts on a 25' Avenger boat that can safely take up to 4 anglers. The vessel is powered by a 250 HP Yamaha engine, and fitted with a trolling motor to help you sneak up on fish. On board, there's also a livewell to keep the bait fresh, as well as an ice box to store the catch.
Each trip includes rods, reels, and terminal tackle. Capt. Keith will also supply you with fishing licenses, so there's no need to worry about that. You'll also be able to keep the fish you catch, as long as they're within legal size and bag limits. Finally, kids are welcome on board, in case you want to turn your fishing trip into a family adventure.

It was my daughter's first charter and the captain was great helping her out showing her where and how to cast. They took us all over to give us the best chance to catch fish. We caught a stingray and a bunch of flounder. They made it the best experience for my family and especially my daughter's first experience. We can't wait to book it again next time we come down to Holden!

Full Day Trip – Inshore/Nearshore on June 10, 2023 • 4 adultsCaptain Keith with Sorta Salty is a superb boat captain and even better fishing guide. We went out in the morning for a 6-hour trip from Holden Beach to the Atlantic off Oak Island. We caught tons of Spanish mackerel, blue fish, and even a 4' shark. He kept us on the fish all morning. We came in for lunch while Captain Keith cleaned our fish. Then we headed back out with a different group for a 3-hour scenic tour along the Intracoastal Waterway and a little fishing. Captain Keith was extremely patient teaching my 5-year old and 3-year old grandkids how to fish. Best of all, they caught their first fish! Great day on great boat! Captain Keith is very patient and kind. Just let him know what you have in mind and he'll make it happen. If you're staying in or near Holden Beach, NC, I highly recommend spending some time with Captain Keith with Sorta Salty.

Hooked up with 5 reds… managed to get two of them to the boat. Both were keepers and Jason cleaned them for us when we got back to the dock. Very satisfied with our trip!

My daughter is handicapped and has limitations, however she loves to fish and was looking forward to this part of our trip. 3/4 Day Trip – Inshore/Nearshore on July 12, 2023 • 4 adultsMe and my buddy take are two teenage boys on a charter every year. This was are first time on this boat. Captain Keith is the best captain we have ever had he made the suggestion we change to a near shore and go after Spanish mackerel, he was right we landed around 15 or so and 4 sharks. My boy really liked how captain Keith let them do things like how he showed them how to run the lure out for the Spanish, that made fill more like fishing and not just reeling something in. We will definitely be using him from now on.

We caught Flounder. Although they were out of sesson so it was catch and release. Captain Keith showed us techniques to set the hook and ensure we got to catch some fish. A great time was had by all.
