Southern Fried Charters-Fishing & Scalloping 

If you're ready to start fishing in Steinhatchee, look no further than Southern Fried Charters. Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Chris can tell you all about the local fishery and it's beautiful grass flats.

Cobia, Flounder, Trout, Redfish, Black Seabass, Sheepshead, Snook, and more could be biting if you come at the right time of year.

You can expect to do some spinning, popping, drifting, jigging, as well as some live bait if Capt. Chris can obtain it!

If you're traveling with the family, you will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Captain Chris loves teaching kids to fish! Please bring a child size vest if needed. You can ask Captain Chris the age limits for vests. Also remember to bring snacks so that nobody gets grumpy on an empty stomach!

You'll be casting lines from a 20' Skiff with room for 4-6 passengers. It comes with all the essentials no fishing machine can run without.

Capt. Chris will provide rods and reels for you, along with lures. Live bait is included, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.

Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, just show up ready for a good time! Have in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. If you don't know what to expect, ask the captain.

It's recommended to bring sunscreen (non-spray), and sunglasses. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. Water and Ice will be provided.
