Book Western Pride for your next trip and enjoy having one of the top open-party sportfishing boats in Newport Beach! Captain Mike Harkins and his crew offer you a memorable time on California's beautiful waters full of many exciting species you can catch. This crew ranks high in the angling world thanks to the utmost dedication to its customers and all-inclusive service geared toward their needs. Capt. Mike Harkins and his team will do everything to make your stay on the water full of fun and excitement, so join them aboard and have a fishing trip of a lifetime!

You'll be fishing from a 75' Ditmar Donaldson offshore sport fishing boat. A boat of this size ensures plenty of space for fishing and relaxing for as many as 70 guests. It runs on twin 400 HP John Deere engines and is rigged with modern GPS and radio navigation electronics. The boat also comes with a toilet, air-conditioning, and other amenities that will add to your experience.

You and the crew will usually be fishing for Calico Bass, Rockfish, Halibut, Sheephead, Barracuda, California Yellowtail, and more, depending on the season. The techniques you can expect to use in order to catch fish are bottom fishing, big game fishing, trolling, spinning, and jigging on light and heavy tackle. You can keep the fish you catch and the crew will even fillet it for you at a cost.

Your trip will include unlimited bait. The crew doesn't include fishing gear in the price but you can rent it at the following rates: rods for $22 per person and tackle set-up for $18–$20 per person. The crew also offers gunny sacks ($2 each), and CA fishing licenses ($20.26). All this amounts to around $60 per person on top of the trip price.

Keep in mind that no coolers of any kind are allowed on board and neither is glass nor any alcohol. Aboard the vessel, you can only pay in cash but the company's office accepts credit, debit cards, and cash.

Hit the water with Western Pride and create memories that will stay with you forever!

The fishing trip was an absolute blast!
1/2 Day Trip – Friday - 12:30 PM on June 27, 20252 adults
I took my son fishing and he caught a couple of nice sized sand bass and some decent sized mackerels. It was great for his first outing. He was smiling all the way home. It made my day! He and my wife are frying them up right now to serve with our breakfast.
