It was a hot and humid bluebird day. We spent the first hour mackerel fishing with nonstop action. Ended up with 100-150 fish between 6 guys and plenty more that didnt make it in the boat, plus a couple of bonus squid. We spent the rest of the morning trying for stripers, but they weren’t biting unfortunately. We saw a handful of boats nearby that all had similar luck. Captain Butch was great - had a cooler of cold water for us and kept us entertained telling stories, then filleted a big bag of mackerel for us to take home. No big fish but still had a great day on the water with beautiful views.
captain Butch took great care of us. black dog was a cery nice, clean boat. We were a group of three adults and 3 10year-olds that would fish everyday if they could! they were prepared and ready! Our mission was to land some striped bass. We spent three hours trying to catch mackerel. We caught some, then a little over an hour trying to catch the bass. We were not successful in catching any bass. The kids were pretty letdown as they were very much looking forward to the experience of reeling in one. had to have a heart felt convo on the way home that it doesnt amways work out. but all in all a great day on the water. It was beautiful. We got to see the aisle of Shoals and went home with a few lobsters.

Captain Butch made this whole trip for us. He was knowledgable, fun, and made it memorable for my almost 16 year old and 12 year old. I cannot thank him enough for everything. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for great quick charter. We also spoke to Jon before departing and he was professional and kind.
The experience was great for the first time fishermen. The captain was equally friendly and did his best to keep everyone involved.
A wonderful trip with family, lucky to catch some fish good enough to eat. The Captain is very capable and engaging
