74-425 Kealakehe Parkway
Kailua-Kona HI, United States

Bite Me Sportfishing is ready to take you on a Hawaii fishing trip you will want to tell your friends about. Longing to get a taste of a place where numerous records have been made? Want to try your hand at catching your very own monster? Hoping to do all this in the presence of a polite, warm, and knowledgeable crew? Look no further.

Bite Me 3 is a glamorous 40’ Egg Harbor boat that is perfect for medium-sized groups of friends or family. A comfortable vessel to spend the day aboard, she features a Kona Open cockpit that has been lovingly decked out with comfortable leather couches. The shady flybridge is perfect for scanning the horizon for huge Marlins, while inside you will find a clean, private restroom that comes complete with a shower. As if that didn’t make you feel enough at home, you will also find a CD stereo with an iPod plugin for your favorite tunes.

Step on the deck, and you will understand why Bite Me Sportfishing has been voted “Best of Hawaii” for many years in a row. You will find a full-sized Murray Brothers fighting chair waiting for you, as well as Rupp tournament-grade outriggers and tuna tubes in case you are fishing with bait.

Your tackle will be rigged and waiting for you, and it won’t disappoint. Bite Me Sportfishing carries a range of Penn International reels for medium to heavy tackle fishing, as well as Shimano TLD Graphite reels for light tackle.

Which brings us on to the fishing. There’s a reason why Kona is famous for its big game fishing, and the Bite Me fleet is located just minutes away from some of the best Marlin grounds out there. But you won’t only be looking for Marlin: Ono, Mahi Mahi, Yellowfin Tuna, and Spearfish are also common catches on these trips. Let the crew show you how to catch them - they will even fillet your prize catches at the end of the day so the experience will just keep on going.

This charter is frequently booked: don’t miss out of securing your spot today!

Bite Me Sportfishing is the largest sportfishing charter company in Hawaii. Their captains have been fishing the Kona coastline for most of their lives and will do everything in their power to put you on fish. The team includes Hawaii's only female captain, Deneen Wargo, who is also the only female angler to participate in the Hawaiin International Billfish tournament (and she came very close to winning it, too)! Deneen is married to Brian Wargo, the owner of Bite Me Sportfishing. Brian has done everything, from tackling down a shark to save a life to winning a Carnegie award and medal. He has even been on the cover of Reader's Digest! An amazing fisherman, he is a really good guy with a big heart, who takes care of his employees. The Bite Me team is made up of 30 people, from captains and crew to operations managers. They consider themselves to be one big family, and every team member goes out of their way on a daily basis to ensure every customer has a memorable experience.

What a way to spend a morning!  We saw the sun come up over Hululalia which we never have seen being from the other side of the Island.(Kalapana) and John enjoyed the morning by getting the first fish and giving the 3 gentlemen the opportunity to reel in one.
Cap’t Andy and Sandy had been informed that I am mostly in a wheelchair but can move with a lot of help, all the gentlemen went above and beyond getting me on board and settled comfortably where I could see the action. The charter was diffidently one of the greatest gifts my husband received as part of our 25th anniversary! The only thing that could have been communicated clearer is the fact that the crew makes only tips and what they can get from selling the fish caught.  That is great for those wanting only the experience but is not pono for those who are local or simply want the fish they caught. I was saddened to find out that one of the tourist (Shaun, from Idaho) complained of not getting any fish even though we gave him some which he gave back as we were departing.  Mahalo for a great adventure.
