Captain Ben Allen is an expert captain with over 30 years of fishing experience throughout coastal Georgia and Florida, as well as the deep sea coastlines. Your safety is one of his top priorities! All the captain’s equipment and gear are kept up to date and thoroughly cleaned to ensure you’re provided with a safe and rewarding experience that the entire family can enjoy.

Your trip will start on a 25’ Contender 24 Sport center console that can take up to 4 guests. The boat is powered by twin 175 HP Suzuki Offshore engines. The onboard navigation gear includes GPS, a fishfinder, a radio, as well as radar technology. The boat has got a portable toilet, a wireless trolling motor, a livewell, and downriggers.

Cumberland Fishing Charters offers inshore and offshore fishing trips for all ages. Some of the species you can target on your trip are Tarpon, Flounder, Redfish, Snapper, Black Seabass, Bonnethead Shark, Cobia, King Mackerel, and more. Using light and heavy tackle, you can catch them by trolling, jigging, and bottom fishing.

Captain Ben will supply all the fishing tackle, bait, licenses, and even drinks. After the trip, he also offers free catch cleaning. Bring nothing but your snacks and you’ll be set to go.

There were 3 of us that went on the trip my wife and 18 year old grandson had a great time with Captain Ben Allen. He was very informative of the area we were traveling by boat and pointed out many historical land marks all along St. Mary area. We fished at Cumberland Island and along the jetties, we even saw some wild horses along the shorelines. We were fishing for trout, flounder and any thing else that would bite and brought home plenty of fish. Even though we did not use it for our trip it was good to know that there was a porta potty in a enclosed area if the need should have presented itself. Thanks again Captain Ben for a memorable experience that we will be sharing with each other for a long time.

Ben was great. We caught a good number of fish and multiple species. We had wind issues but he still got us on fish. He is a very knowledgeable captain. Even recommended a shorter trip than we planned because of the tide and wind direction. Would definitely go with him again if ever in the area again. Brian. Go Green!
