Based out of Bay St Louis MS, Lazee Daze Charters is your ticket to a memorable time on the water. We do not keep track of a stopwatch, only that you are having a great time. We do ask that you convey your expectations ahead of time so Capt. David can make sure he provides the best experience possible.
Please read the full description of each trip so you know what each offer. NO BLACK SOLED SHOES.
Capt. David will do his best to make sure you have a fun day full of fishing. He specializes in bottom fishing, trolling, casting and drift fishing, all to get you on that bite. We offer 3 to 6-hour trips, mainly fishing for Redfish, Speckled Trout, Flounder, and other inshore species. The Species caught will depend on weather, tides and time of year.
Your fishing adventure starts on a 21' Palm Beach bay boat that can safely take up to 4 anglers. This boat features a Minn Kota trolling motor and Lowrance graphs. When it comes to rods, reels, and terminal tackle, everything you need is included in the price.
Licenses are included on any saltwater trips, and you'll be able to keep any legal species caught during the trip. Your catch will be cleaned and bagged for you at the end of the day.
There will be complimentary bottled water aboard for your convenience during the trip, but feel free to bring your own drinks or snacks if you prefer. Children are welcome aboard so you’re good to get the young ones started early. Just be sure to let us know ahead of time so we have the appropriate safety gear.

My husband was a bit of a grump before his recent milestone birthday, but he’s been all smiles ever since our birthday fishing trip! Before we left, Captain Dave clarified our goals for the trip. I said I just had one - for my husband to have a great time. Captain Dave made sure that happened, and I had fun too. We caught “a mess of fish,” which were beautifully cleaned and packaged after we returned. Captain Dave even rearranged some details to make sure that we made it back to our hotel in time for our late check-out. It was a beautiful, memorable day on the water, and we hope to fish with Captain Dave again soon.

Captain Dave was a phenomenal captain. We were on fish from the get go. Due to weather we were able to do a 2 day trip in 1 day and the fishing was phenomenal. Captain was knowledgeable and a very good guide. This was a trip for my son's college graduation a time that I will cherish forever and Captain Dave didn't disappoint. Thank you for the memories we'll definitely be returning.

Fist time taking my 12 year old son fishing from a boat. Captain Dave was great, he showed my boy everything to do. He caught a really nice Spanish Mackerel. I absolutely recommend going out with Dave.

4 Hour Morning Inshore Trip on June 6, 2025 • 3 adults
Capt. David came through again. We hit some choppy water, but he got us in spots we could fish. We caught redfish (one was over 5lbs), sheepshead, catfish and trout. We had a large flounder that got off at the boat. We'll get him next time!
I would highly recommend this charter. I feel fortunate that we were able to book a second time with him.

Had another great trip with Captain David. We enjoy the conversation and good hearted joking with Captain David as much as we do fishing. The wind was a challenge this weekend, but he still managed to find locations where the fish were biting and we weren’t being blown away! Always a fun time when fishing with Lazee Daze Charters!
