Virginia Beach has a fish with your name on it, so let Shelton's Charter Fishing help you catch it! Your guide for the day is Captain Chuck, bringing aboard years of professional experience.
Cobia, Mahi Mahi, Flounder, King Mackerel, Black Seabass, Sheepshead, Spanish Mackerel, Tautog, Yellowfin Tuna, Wahoo, and more can be found in these waters, depending on when you go. For these species, you're likely to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle.
Your adventure begins aboard a 32' Albemarle convertible with space for 6 passengers. It has outriggers, a fighting chair, and all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. Rods, reels, and tackle are covered by the charter, along with lures. Live bait is on offer, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
You'll have the help of a First Mate to put you on fish. Mates often work for tips and it's customary to offer them a 20% tip.
The charter boat covers your fishing license, so all you have to do is show up ready for a good time! Have in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. If you don't know what to expect, ask the captain.
It's never a bad idea to bring sunglasses, bottled water, and sunscreen (non-spray). If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
Now and then the fish might get away, but a day on the water never should. So make it happen, with Shelton's Charter Fishing!

4 Hour Trip – Inshore (AM)
Awesome trip in memory of our dads
I took my girls, 9 and 15, out for Father’s Day since we lost their dad almost two years ago. He loved to take them fishing and they hadn’t caught a fish since. The fish really weren’t biting today, but they each managed to reel one in and it was a memory we’ll cherish forever. Captain Chuck let my youngest come up on the bridge to watch for dolphins and talk his ear off. And the first mate chatted with my oldest and I about everything under the sun. We had an awesome time out on the water and definitely plan to book a future trip again. Thanks so much for helping us remember old times and create new memories too!

Great day on the water!
Booked a trip for our boys birthday present and it was awesome. Capital Chuck was very accommodating with our 3 boys, none of them had been on an ocean fishing trip before. Both Chuck and mate Conner where great answering all our boys questions and worked hard to get them on the fish. Would highly recommend Captain Chuck!

8 Hour Trip – Offshore Wreck
Best charter! Trophy Red!
We couldn't recommend Captain Chuck and First Mate Mike more highly! They're both personable and professional. The boat is clean and fast. They work to ensure you have the best time possible. I asked for big fish, kind of joking, because who doesn't? Within two hours of leaving the dock, we had caught our limit of big black drum and my wife even caught a 48" "trophy/citation" red drum. We caught and released several more before heading back. Mike cleaned the keepers, and we must have ended up with 15 pounds of filets or more. Great guys. Will plan the 12 hour next time! Thanks Chuck and Mike!

4 Hour Trip – Inshore (AM)
First time fishing Virginia Beach and glad we picked Shelton’s Charter!
Chuck and his mate Colin were super knowledgeable and we had fish on minutes after the lines went down. A lot of expected Spanish Mackerel and a couple of blue but the height of the trip was pulling a 25/30 lbs Red Drum into the boat! My Wife and 10 year old had a blast catching fish and hearing about their tales when trolling. If we come back next summer, we will definitely book another trip with Chuck.
