Real Life Charters runs angling trips out of Belleair Bluffs and is eager to show you a day full of endless possibilities in the prolific Gulf waters!
Capt. Phil will do his best to "put you on the fish" and help you create wonderful memories, so come aboard! He specializes in light tackle, heavy tackle, bottom fishing, trolling, drift fishing, jigging, and spinning, all to get you on that bite. This involves 2 to 8-hour trips, mainly fishing for King Mackerel, Cobia, Shark, Hogfish, Snapper, and Grouper, depending on the season, type of trip, and conditions of the day.
You'll be fishing from the "Real Life," a 25' Parker boat out of Clearwater Beach, with enough room for up to 6 anglers at any time. This seaworthy sport vessel has everything you'll need to fish the Gulf and even go offshore into deeper waters, where the big fish are found. It also has a toilet on board for your convenience.
All the necessary fishing gear is included in the price of your trip, as well as your fishing licenses. You will be able to take home all legal species caught during that time. We provide complimentary water and ice. You are welcome to bring your own soft drinks and snacks.
Please let the captain know if you have any questions or special requests. Children are welcome on board, so bring your kids along for a fun fishing adventure.

Took my 10-year-old son out for his first deep sea fishing trip with Captain Phillip and it absolutely exceeded our expectations. We were barely dropping our lines before we had bites — by the end of the trip we had pulled in somewhere between 40 and 50 fish between the two of us, keeping 20 to take home. What really impressed me was how Captain Phillip picked spots and set us up with the right bait and technique, putting us on fish that were the perfect size for my son to reel in completely on his own — a huge confidence boost for a kid! He even let us stay out an extra hour past our 6-hour booking just so my son could keep fishing, which meant the world to us. Captain Phillip filleted our catch right there and pointed us to a local restaurant that cooked it up for us — couldn't have asked for a better first experience.

Had an awesome day on the water! We had to try a few different spots to find the fish, but Capt. Phil was working hard and we found what we were looking for! The gulf had a bit of an attitude on the ride out, we stuck it out, the Boat handled the 3-4 foot seas like a champ and Capt. Phil handled the boat like a professional. Overall a great experience. You can tell Capt. Phil loves what he does and works to make sure you have a good time.

Capt. Phil provided an absolutely top notch experience. Him and first mate Joe went above and beyond to ensure we had a good time. Experienced with the right gear and great knowledge. He is 100% focused on putting who on fish. The beanbag chairs for the long ride are were a great touch.

Captain Phil was first introduced to fishing as a young boy in Connecticut, fishing the Long Island Sound from Block Island to Montauk, from the Connecticut River to the Thames River. The first boat he owned as a youngster was a 12' MirroCraft, which was referred to as a 'tin boat' back then. Captain Phil's parents moved to Florida in the early 1980's which opened up a whole new world of fishing for him. He was eager to learn the different species in the Gulf and quickly fell in love with all it had to offer. He relocated to Florida in 2017 where he was given the opportunity to work with a few charter captains in the Clearwater area. Throughout his life, Captain Phil has been mentored by serious sport anglers and captains, and has the passion and desire to provide others the experience of 'real life' fishing in the Gulf Coast, teaching and guiding along the way as he was taught over the years. Whether you're a novice or expert angler, Captain Phil will do all he can to provide you with a fun fishing adventure and a great day on the water!

You can cancel or modify your booking up to 3 days before the trip date, free of charge. If you cancel or modify your booking later, or fail to show up, you'll forfeit 100% of what you've paid.
