Your next winter adventure starts here! All ages are welcome to join in on the fun and we have the ability to take up to 12 people (bring the kids!).
Here at Pure Angling, we use all the latest technologies to keep you on fish, warm, and safe on the ice. All bait, rods, tackle, tip-ups, heated shanty, and transportation is included on every fishing trip.
We typically target Walleye, Perch, Panfish, Pike, Burbot, Lake Trout, and Whitefish. If there is a fish that you would prefer to target or that is on your bucket list, let us know!
Your mode of transportation this year will be a brand-new Tinger Dog track sled. The machine is reliable and light on the ice. You will ride in sleds pulled behind the machine to the shanty and back to shore safely. A porta-potty will be set up in a smaller shanty on the ice. Whether you plan on fishing with them for 4, 6, or 8 hours, you can find comfort in knowing that there will be a place to use the bathroom if needed!
Everything will be set up before you get to the lake. The shanties will already be warm for you to come inside and start fishing. Please dress warm, although you will likely be able to shed layers once you are inside. You and your group will be fishing privately inside all-new insulated Eskimo ice shanties. There are several of them on hand, with one that has an 8-person capacity to fit your needs!
Captain Tyler Smith will be your ice fishing guide. He is a Michigan native with over 15 years of experience personally, but over 10 years fishing professionally in Northern Michigan. Safety will be the number one priority before catching any fish. Winter weather in Northern Michigan can be unforgiving at times and if the weather becomes an issue on the day of your ice fishing trip (as determined by the captain), you will be able to reschedule for another day, or your deposit will be refunded.

Captain Tyler Smith here and I am a Northern Michigan native. With a river running through my back yard, I basically learned how to walk, talk, and fish at the same time. This childhood hobby later became a way to have income while attending college. I worked as a first mate for another charter here in Traverse City during the summer months, but it was time to venture out and start a charter business of my own. I started out here on Grand Traverse Bay running charters during the warmer months with success, but a few people have been asking about ice fishing as well. I'm happy to say that we can now offer fishing trips year round here in Northern Michigan! Let's go fishing and make a life long memorable experience with your friends and family!

You can cancel or modify your booking up to 7 days before the trip date, free of charge. If you cancel or modify your booking later, or fail to show up, you'll forfeit 100% of what you've paid.

Book with 10% deposit, pay rest to captain
When the captain confirms your trip, FishingBooker charges your credit card a 10% deposit to guarantee your reservation.
The remaining balance is to be paid directly to the charter operator on or prior to your trip date in one of the following payment methods:
