FLP Fishing Charters runs angling trips out of Clearwater and offers to show you what the local fishery is all about.

Capt. Michael aims to tailor every trip to your specific needs, so let him know what you’re after! Depending on the trip and species, you’ll be using techniques like light tackle, bottom fishing, trolling, fly fishing, drift fishing, jigging, popping, and spinning. You’re looking at 2 to 8-hour trips, where you’ll usually go after Redfish, Snook, Snapper, Cobia, Tarpon, Shark, depending on the weather and time of year.

Your fishing adventure starts on a 22’ Scout boat that can safely take up to 6 anglers. This boat features an ice box, and a wireless trolling motor.

All rods, reels, and terminal tackle are included in the price so you can focus on what matters, fishing.

No need to worry about fishing licenses, as they will be provided and handled by the charter.

You’re welcome to keep all legal species caught during the trip, but you’re welcome to release them if you decide to.

The price of your trip also includes complimentary water, but you’re welcome to bring your own drinks and food. Please let the captain know if you have any questions or special requests.

Children are welcome aboard, so you’re good to get the young ones started early.

Booked this charter for my 13 year old son and I. This was my son’s first time fishing saltwater, and Captain Mike made it a trip to remember. He was excellent with him the entire time, and took us to a great location where we were able to catch 15 sharks between the two of us in a two hour trip. He taught us a ton about saltwater fishing and was a great person to be around. Highly recommend if you are looking for something fun whether you are a group of adults or if you have kids of any age. We will be back again for sure. Thanks for everything, Captain!

Bad Weather, Great Morning

My father-in-law and I had a great time out with Captain Mike. The fish weren't biting much and we had a storm roll through during our trip but Mike still got us on a few trout and snapper. We might've had one or two large snook if they hadn't broken the lines. He showed up early and let us stay out a bit later to make up for the lack of bites that day. Music on board was fantastic and Mike was very good at giving clear instructions and helping cast/bait in the right spots. I would definitely go out on the water again with Mike.

Michael saved the day!

We made this booking at the last minute, on the final day of our vacation, right after a charter we previously booked closer to our hotel canceled because of a mechanical issue. Michael responded immediately and we were booked with him within minutes, and then on his boat a couple hours later. We had a great day on the water and enjoyed successful fishing and learned a ton about the area, which was new to us. Michael was a terrific captain and guide who also was great with our three young boys. We highly recommend Michael and will fish with him again next time we are in town.

Captain Mike is awesome!

My son and I booked a 2 hour trip with Captain Mike. Super friendly guy and very passionate about fishing. Treated us like we were VIP’s in every way. He knows all of the good spots and how to fish them. We at first started off slow only catching one snook but Mike then said “we are not leaving the water until we have some nicer catches” and stuck true to this past the time we booked. We ended up with 9 fish after Captain Mike hit some his known hot spots. His boat is a great layed out vessel with all of the latest technologies. I will only book FLP when in Clearwater and goin fishing.

Very happy with our overall trip. Easy to book, very accommodating, and he was excellent with our 5 yr old daughter. This was her first charter trip and Michael ensured she was successful. We all caught fish and even had our fresh catch for dinner. This trip was exceptional and I highly recommend FLP and Michael!
