Based out of Matagorda, Captain Shannon's Charters is your ticket to a memorable time on the water.
Capt. Zack will do his best to make sure you have a fun day full of fishing. He specializes in light tackle, heavy tackle, and fly fishing to get you on that bite. This involves 8-hour trips, mainly fishing for Redfish, Flounder, Speckled Trout, Black Drum, Tripletail, and Sheepshead, depending on the season and weather conditions.
Your boat for the day will be a 24' Haynie that fits up to 5 anglers at any one time. The boat comes with an ice box, and a wireless trolling motor.
The price of your trip includes all the rods, reels, and terminal tackle you'll need for a productive day on the water. Please make sure to buy a valid fishing license ahead of time.
You're welcome to keep all legal species caught during the trip.
The boat will be supplied with drinks for your pleasure, be sure to let the captain know if you have any questions or want to bring your own.
This is a children-friendly charter, so you're welcome to bring your kids on for a fun fishing adventure.

This was our first time saltwater fishing. Captain Zach made the trip not only fun but he really knows the area and where to find the fish. He's great and we will be going with him again.

High winds, muddy water, tough conditions. We still caught a bunch of fish, several keepers. Fun trip.
My son and I had a fantastic time on our fishing trip. Even though it wasn’t ideal fishing weather with all the wind, we still were able to catch a lot of fish. Captain Shannon was not only incredibly knowledgeable and professional, but also had a great way of connecting with my teenage son. The captain was patient, encouraging, and made sure my son felt confident and involved in everything. Huge thanks to Captain Shannon for making it a memorable day on the water. It was clear that he genuinely enjoys sharing his love of fishing, and it made a big difference for us on my son’s birthday.
I don’t usually write reviews but Captain Zack was incredible and should be booked by anyone looking to have an amazing time and catch a boat load of fish!
