Who better to show you around than a passionate, experienced angler? Captain Mark Sampson has been working in the recreational fishing industry since he was young, and has now been running charters since 1987. He knows exactly what makes a successful trip, and can't wait to show you the riches of the Keys.
Step aboard the 'Fish'n Fly', a 17' Maverick flats skiff, designed and rigged specifically for shallow water fishing. The boat is fast and quiet, equipped with a push pole and electric motor to allow you to sneak within casting range of even the spookiest fish. Up to 2 anglers are welcome aboard to fish areas inaccessible to many other boats.
Sight fishing the flats is a combination of fishing and hunting, as the angler stands on the bow, searching the shallow waters for a fish before firing a cast. While the waters may be 'skinny,' the fish are anything but! Get ready to come into contact with huge Tarpon, enormous Sharks, Barracuda and a host of other gamefish.
Join us in !arch or April to chase Tarpon, Bonefish, Sharks, Permit, Jacks, Barracudas, Redfish, Snook and countless other species that thrive in the shallow waters of the backcountry flats.
In between fish bites, you'll explore waters full of sea turtles, coral, sponges, jellyfish, as you explore the mangrove islands full of tropical plants and stunning birdlife. Come and discover the unique and stunningly beautiful ecosystem of Florida's shallow water backcountry.

Half Day Trip on March 25, 2019 • 2 adultsMark was a fantastic captain. He picked us up, on time, right at the sea wall of the house we were renting for the week. He was very patient and took the time to show my girlfriend and I a little sweet spot where we can venture out on our own to fish. He made sure we were able to take pictures of and with all our “catches”. Made sure we knew the kind of bait to use for which kind of fish and exactly how to real the fish in. He was very knowledgeable of the sea and was able to answer any questions that arose. He also was able to give us some history of the islands and the mangroves, etc. He even jumped right off the boat to catch a star fish and bring it up to us so we can see it up close!!! At the end of the day we were chasing sharks, he made sure to end our day right with my catch of the day, a nice sized black finned shark. Even after he dropped us off, he made sure we knew that if we had any questions that he was available and to give him a call. We highly recommend Captain Mark!!!

Half Day Trip on March 19, 2017 • 2 adults19/03 we had a great fishing trip with Captain Mark. He knows all fish habitat areas, helps starting with ocean fishing very fast. He teaches to take all the fishes in the right way. As a result I caught enough amount of fish. I was a little scared of sharks before today, but after this adventure I begin treating them with respect. Rounding in the water near me blacktip sharks made unforgettable impression on me. I was very glad to catch one of them. Thank you very much Captain Mark! Highly recommend to all new adventure searchers! Alex

Half Day Trip on April 4, 2017 • 2 adultsWe were rigged for anything that came our way. At one point we had a tarpon rig with large crab, a kite rig for sharks, a shrimp rig for sharks, and a small crab rig for permit, and a large surface plug for Barracuda. We landed two huge Barracuda on the surface plug, and a nice bonnet shark on a shrimp. Captain Mike is extremely pleasant to fish with as well as a patient teacher. I highly recommend this guide!

Full Day Trip on April 21, 2016I had an incredible experience fishing with Capt. Mark Sampson in Cudjoe Key. He was able to get us to some amazing locations and target many different species. We fished both with fly and spinning gear, and he is a very skilled guide with both. I highly recommend fishing with him.

It wasn’t hard to see that Captain Mark is a very experienced guide. He had fishing tackle at the ready for the different fish we may encounter, and knew the areas they frequented. We had an excellent time landing barracudas, bonnetthead sharks, a nurse shark and several mangrove snapper. Captain Mark tweaked our fishing technique which will be valuable to us for a lifetime. Captain Mark was a very personable and patient guide who I highly recommend.

I had a great day with Mark! I was super impressed with his knowledge of the local species and how quickly he spotted fish. His cool demeanor and calmness when describing location and instruction set me up for accurate casting. His equipment and flies were top notch!
