Ramsgate Fishing Charters 

We had a group of six friends, and even with the last-minute changes, the Captain was incredibly accommodating. The crew, Jason and Dave, were exceptionally hospitable, helpful, friendly, and kind. They made the whole experience even more enjoyable!

my son really enjoyed catching his 1st smoothhound fish, the biggest fish caught on boat. Couldnt fault tne staff, Dave couldnt have been anymore helpful from start to finish. absolutely amazong experience.

Great experience! We caught around 9 small sharks. Two random guys next to us caught about double – looks like a skill issue on our side 😄 Good service, and the coffee, tea, and snacks were tasty.

Unfortunately, the fishing experience was quite different from what we expected based on the listing. We weren’t allowed to cast at all and could only reel in, we were told the equipment were delicate but they should have mentioned this at the listing. Despite the description advertising around 10 different fishing techniques. In reality, we experienced around two. The organisation was also disappointing. The meeting time was changed several times, and the trip eventually started around 30 minutes late. We were then told the trip might need to finish early due to regulations, which would have been useful to know beforehand. Given the delayed start and potential early finish, I asked if there would be any reduction in cost, but nothing was offered. Some parts of the listing also felt misleading, such as the advertised “toilet” actually being a bucket, and the BBQ shown in the photos not being available at this time of year. On the positive side, the first mate was very friendly and helpful, which definitely improved the experience. We were also kindly offered some dogfish caught by the previous group, which was a nice gesture. Overall, I appreciate that regulations and seasonal restrictions can affect the experience, but these should be made clearer in the listing. Unfortunately, the actual fishing experience fell quite short of what we expected from the description.

Would recommend this sea fishing trip with this captain first class gentlemen very helpful experienced captain thank you for all yr help in making the day special

2 novices who had a great day with Roger and Ian on the Skerry Belle. Good fun, good company and clear instructions helped us catch plenty of fish including a 10.5 lb skate, a smaller skate and 5 dogfish! They really looked after us and we will definitely keep going out with them in the future! Angie & Nigel
