Born and raised in NW Ohio, Captain Nick Purdue has been an avid fisherman since he was a young boy. Growing up on the shores of Lake Erie, he spent countless hours honing his fishing skills catching Walleye, Bass, and Perch. As he got older, his passion for fishing only grew stronger, and he decided to turn his love of the water into a career.
Captain Nick moved to Florida to explore new waters and new fishing opportunities 10 years ago. He quickly fell in love with the warm weather, crystal clear waters, and abundance of fish that Florida has to offer.
Captain Nick now spends his days guiding fishing and boating expeditions in the Gulf of Mexico, sharing his wealth of knowledge and expertise with boaters of all skill levels. He specializes in targeting a variety of species, including Snapper, Grouper, Kingfish, and more. He also can explore secluded beaches, or take clients on exciting trips to nearby islands and reefs. Whether you're looking to explore new waters, learn new skills, or simply soak up the sun and relax on the water, Captain Nick is the perfect guide to help you make the most of your time on the water.
Capt. Nick welcomes anglers of all ages, including kids, so go ahead and bring the whole family along! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board.
Our vessel "That's Life", is a 26' TwinVee that combines functionality, safety, and sleek design. This boat is equipped with brand new Suzuki motors, ensuring a smooth and powerful performance on the water. With its twin-engine configuration, That's Life offers increased stability and maneuverability, making it an excellent choice for both leisurely cruising and adventurous water activities.

Captain Nick was great! My 12 year old son and I went out and caught several different species of fish and had a couple of chances at sharks too! Nick made our day very fun and was extremely helpful. I would 💯% recommend him for your fishing trip. Next time we are down we will check out his shark trip. Thanks Captain Nick!
Captain Nick was amazing with my three boys ages 10,9 and 6 very patient very helpful. One of the best charters I’ve ever been on. In five hours, we caught an assortment of different types of fish. Definitely recommend this charter for anybody new to fishing or fishing with children.

Captain Nick is hard working and will keep you on the hunt. Had a blast, boat was great- roomy, smooth and great speed. Captain Nick knows the area in and out and techniques. Will book him again next time I am back in the area!
Our group of 4 had a great AM excursion. We caught plenty of fish, keeping 4 Red Snapper. Boating, fishing, and lunch to go, what a deal! Nick was timely, attentive, and professional. Highly recommended.
Nick was awesome! 2 out of 3 of us caught Goliath Gtouper, one of us caught a bonnet shark, not to mention all the catches in between! What a day, could not ask for a better guide. Highly recommend Nick!!
