Capt. 'Hillyboo' Lara, the owner/ operator of Freedom Fishing Tours Unlimited, wishes to show you a premium fishing experience in San Pedro, Belize. His large fleet of custom-built boats will accommodate anglers of every level of experience and can fish the variety of waters Belize has to offer.

'Lucky Strike' is a 28 foot Chris Craft custom built for reef fishing in the area. Equipped with a canopy to keep you sheltered from the sun and a livewell for your live bait, the boat can navigate the reefs with ease, and has enough space on board for you to tackle some of the big catches that can be found in the local waters.

San Pedro is located very close to the reef, and you only have to travel a few minutes before you're in 600 to 2000 feet of water. This allows you to make the most out of your time by starting to fish almost immediately. A typical trip will usually involve a combination of bottom fishing and trolling, allowing you to make the most of your time on the water by trying different techniques depending on how the fish are biting on the day. While trolling, you will typically take turns fishing, the captain runs 2 to 5 lines depending on whether you're trolling the reefs or deep sea trolling, but the whole group will be able to fish at the same time when bottom fishing.

If you're looking for more than just a typical day or half day fishing trip you can try night fishing or go on a whole day picnic trip. Night fishing puts you in the best place to target Tarpon. Cubera Snapper, Jacks and Sharks. If you're hoping to catch a trophy fish this trip might put you in good stead: a record-breaking 234 pound Tarpon was caught in this area just a few years ago!
