My wife and I had a good time with captain Hillyboo, Carla, and Greg. We left at 8am with the Lucky Strike (clean as a whistle). My spouse has mobility problems; captain and crew went out of their way to help her on and off the boat. We were hoping to catch wahoo but that didn’t happen . That’s fishing, things don’t happen on demand. We caught tuna within the first 20 minutes in open sea and this continued for the better part of the trip. One tuna got caught by a predator so only part of it remained when I reeled it in. We also caught a barracuda. Captain Hillyboo cleaned enough fish for us for several meals. The barracuda was excellent and prepared by the cooks at El Caliente (which the captain recommended). Overall this was a great excursion and we were truly impressed by the knowledge and professionalism by the captain and his crew. In addition I need to point out that the Lucky Strike has a fighting chair needed for bigger fish. I have seen several advertisements for deep sea fishing where the boat is not equipped with a fighting chair. This yet another reason for me recommending this outfitter.

Had a great 8 hour trip. Captain and mate were great…very knowledgable. Caught 7 barracuda and a tuna. Just missed a sailfish. The crew cooked up one barracuda for lunch. It was awesome.

We had the best time deep sea fishing and trying to catch big fish. We were able to catch some nice baracuda, a huge mahi mahi, and a tuna which turned into us catching a huge shark! I annoyed the staff all week with 100s of questions and they happily answered every single one. Thanks so much for the amazing experience!

Hilly Boo, Byron and Carla are top notch!! Couldn’t have asked for a better experience for my husbands 50th birthday celebration. Book with this captain and crew for fantastic fishing and an even better lunch.

We had a great trip with a friendly and compitent crew. We had originally booked a morning trip and the captain recommended we go out in the afternoon because that’s when fish had been biting. We listened and it paid off! We reeled in four barracuda. Thank you for a great trip!

we went out twice with these fantastic fishermen. my husband caught a 40-50 pound wahoo, barracuda, and tuna. we definitely recommend Freedom tours in San Pedro Belize. the crew is very chill and knowledgeable fishermen/fisherwoman and they love fishing as much as my husband.

Got the catch of a lifetime. 80 lbs sailfish. Brought it on the boat for a quick pic and let it go. Seth and Greg were very helpful on the boat. Also caught several Bonita, which Greg sliced up as sashimi and sent us home with plenty. Great time.

had a blast with Captain Byron. Went out beyond the reef and caught five barracuda and one big wahoo. The boat is awesome communication with Is awesome and the location to get on the boat is easy to get to. Would highly recommend going out with these guys.

I have been on many, many offshore trolling missions around the world. I chose the Carlie because it’s a 34 footer to better handle rough waves on a windy day, and due to the generous amount of shade it provides inside for my fair-skinned family. Captain Hilly Boo worked hard to rig up a nice spread of 6 lines, with a variety of lures and different sized ballyhoo. Captain constantly checked the lines to shake off sargassum and changed up the spread, hustling to get us as many bites as possible. We landed a large barracuda, a bonito, and a Bar Jack, but we should have landed many more; just a rough fishing day, but a great day with a great guide.

We went out for a full day trip of deep sea fishing and had a great time. The weather was beautiful and the water was very calm which matched up perfectly with the saying “Great day for fishing, just not a great day for catching fish!” This saying turned out to be most of the day for us, but after several beers and some good conversations with the crew we eventually caught a couple of Barracudas that each put up a good fight. Captain “Fish” and his crew of Jorge and Mario were fantastic and remained positive as they never gave up and worked together to find and locate the fish for us. After we caught the fish they anchored on the reef and cooked us a delicious and filling lunch with our catch. They cleaned and cut the catch into filets for us to take with us back to our condo to cook for the remainder of our vacation. The boat was amazing because it provided enough shade to keep cool from the sun and it had a private bathroom on board, which was a must have for my female partner and she approved with two thumbs up 👍👍 I would recommend anyone to use this Captain, crew, and his boat the next time you are in San Pedro looking to fish!!
