Miss Carla and Capt Set took us for a full day of reef fishing license, beach lunch and snorkeling. They knew where the best spots to fish in beautiful baby blue water. We trolled some and caught huge Baracudas and Mackeral. Then we went to another location and caught dozens of Snapper and other fish. For lunch, they took us to a beautiful secluded beach, where my son and I played and rested in the water and also saw many bone fish there. Lunch was better then I expected. The potatoes I would describe as close to scalloped but better. The fish and lobster stew was out of this world incredibly yummy. I will 💯 recommend Freedom tours as a great Family outing with an incredible crew.

I have been on many, many offshore trolling missions around the world.  I chose the Carlie because it’s a 34 footer to better handle rough waves on a windy day, and due to the generous amount of shade it provides inside for my fair-skinned family. Captain Hilly Boo worked hard to rig up a nice spread of 6 lines, with a variety of lures and different sized ballyhoo. Captain constantly checked the lines to shake off sargassum and changed up the spread, hustling to get us as many bites as possible. We landed a large barracuda, a bonito, and a Bar Jack, but we should have landed many more; just a rough fishing day, but a great day with a great guide.

We went out for a full day trip of deep sea fishing and had a great time. The weather was beautiful and the water was very calm which matched up perfectly with the saying “Great day for fishing, just not a great day for catching fish!” This saying turned out to be most of the day for us, but after several beers and some good conversations with the crew we eventually caught a couple of Barracudas that each put up a good fight. Captain “Fish” and his crew of Jorge and Mario were fantastic and remained positive as they never gave up and worked together to find and locate the fish for us. After we caught the fish they anchored on the reef and cooked us a delicious and filling lunch with our catch. They cleaned and cut the catch into filets for us to take with us back to our condo to cook for the remainder of our vacation. The boat was amazing because it provided enough shade to keep cool from the sun and it had a private bathroom on board, which was a must have for my female partner and she approved with two thumbs up 👍👍 I would recommend anyone to use this Captain, crew, and his boat the next time you are in San Pedro looking to fish!!

Captain B and first mate Greg were absolutely amazing! They worked hard and got us on the fish. We caught Mahi Mahi,  tuna, barracuda and Jack Crevalle.
We had the best time.
They cooked us amazing lunch and best ceviche I’ve ever had.

We met up at the dock with our Capt, Byron and First Mate/Chef George on time. We went reef fishing for the first half of and got roughly 15 snapper and a small barracuda. George was intent on bringing some spiny lobster into the boat but after a lot of trying, the lobster ran off. We got a magnificent lunch on a beach that included barracuda ceviche which was delicious. Being from FL I’m a non-barracuda eater but this stuff was top notch. Then George made us some salad, potatoes, beans and snapper tacos which were all killer as well. After a couple of rum punches we did some trawling and snagged a decent sized Jack Crevalle. Good day on sea. George was very pleasant and Byron was as well.
