Gone Fishing – North Side
Gone Fishing is here to show you the stunning waters of Rum Point. Depending on conditions, you might hook into Wahoo, Dolphin (Mahi Mahi), Gray Triggerfish, Caribbean Queen Snapper, and plenty more.
On these trips, it’s common to troll using light or heavy tackle. Feel free to take home some of the fish you catch, assuming they meet regulations. Plus, you can have your catch cleaned. How’s that for fresh seafood?
The charter operator welcomes you aboard their 48’ Pro Custom boat that can carry up to 15 passengers. It has downriggers and everything else you need for a productive day on the water. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience.
You’ll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, as well as lures. Live bait is on offer, but be sure to ask about it ahead of time so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.
Trips are run with the help of a First Mate, who’s there to help you fish and keep everyone safe on board. It’s customary to tip the Mate 10%–20% at the end of the day to show your appreciation.
Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.
Looking to get the whole family outdoors? Kids are absolutely welcome! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board.
Don’t forget to bring a hat, sunglasses, bottled water, and sunscreen (non-spray). Your trip includes a few drinks on board and there will be some light snacks included on board.
Go ahead and treat yourself to a day on the water with Gone Fishing – North Side.
