As a fully licensed guide with experience in both freshwater and saltwater environments, I tailor each trip to match your skill level and interests, whether you're chasing trout in cold mountain streams or casting for bass and sunfish in warmer, slower waters.
The region offers a rich variety of game fish, including Rainbow, Brown, and Brook Trout, with Sunfish and Smallmouth Bass found in other select locations. This is a walk-and-wade experience, so be prepared to cover some ground by foot as we explore productive stretches of water. You’ll need to bring your own waders and wading boots, and I recommend contacting me in advance so I can help you prepare with details on what to expect.

He taught my wife and myself how to fly fish and within minutes we were casting our own lines getting bites. He is very friendly and genuinely a good guy. Definitely will be booking more trips with captain Stu and I recommend anyone who is on the fence or thinking about it to just do it. You will not regret it!

My wife and I booked this adventure as part of our anniversary trip. We have experience fishing but never fly fishing. He was patient with us, explained how to use the equipment well, and spent time teaching us all the techniques. He treated us with respect and made sure my wife feel very comfortable and safe when treking the back country. I would highly recommend Stuart for all experience levels as his knowledge is extensive. We didn’t catch anything but that was more due to our inexperience with fly fishing and not due to his knowledge. Highly recommend his for anyone wanting to get out and fish.
