Capt. Derick will share his vast knowledge and experience to ensure you have a fun day full of fishing. He specializes in bottom fishing and trolling, all to get you on that bite. This involves 8-hour trips, mainly fishing for rockfish, perch, and catfish, depending on the season and conditions on the day. You can keep anything you catch as long as it's legal.
Your adventure begins on board a 34' Webbers Cove boat that can fit a maximum of 6 anglers. The boat is fitted with a toilet and was updated in 2024 with new refurbished interior. The vessel has a full cabin and head so that the wife will approve! You'll get to the fishing grounds and back in comfort. It's also been equipped with new 2022 electronics, so if the fish are there, Capt. Derick will find them!
The price of your trip includes all the rods, reels, and terminal tackle you'll need for a productive day on the water. No need to worry about fishing licenses, as they will be provided and handled by the charter. There will be a first mate on board to help you with anything you need. Tips for good service are appreciated. Children are welcome aboard.

We had a great time fishing with Captain and his mate! They were both friendly, professional, and made the trip enjoyable from start to finish. The captain's experience really showed and we felt safe with him. While the boat was comfortable and stable, the toilet could have used some cleaning, but that didn't take away from an otherwise excellent experience. Overall, this was a fantastic fishing trip, and I would absolutely recommend this captain to friends and family. If you're looking for someone who knows where the fish are and provides a great experience on the water, you won't be disappointed.

My wife and I were visiting our daughter and her boyfriend and wanted to take them fishing out in the bay. The captain and crew were amazing and put us on fish right away. Caught LOTS of fish. Several times we had multiple people catching fish at the same time and often had 2 fish on the same pole! The next day after fishing, my daughter told me that her arms were sore from catching so many fish. It was one of the best fishing trips I've ever taken.

Captain split our time up between catfish and white perch since rockfish are out of season. Bites came the whole trip and we only had four hours… would return in a heartbeat

Captain Derick Thrappas is a Maryland native who obtained his USCG 100-ton license at the young age of 19. He has a very diverse background in the marine industry. Serving in the Coast Guard for over 22 years and counting, being stationed up and down the east coast has allowed him to work on charter boats all over Florida, Maryland, and Virginia.
