Running angling trips out of Gulfport, Salinity Matters Charters invites you to a personalized fishing experience on the Mississippi Gulf Coast!

Capt. Sonny is here to share his fishing knowledge of over 30 years. You'll be using techniques like bottom fishing, trolling, drift fishing, depending on what you're going after. As part of their 4 to 6-hour trips, you can target species like Redfish, Jack Crevalle, Speckled Trout, Flounder, Sheepshead, Tripletail, Mackerel, Cobia, and Shark, depending on the current season and weather conditions.

Your adventure begins on board a 22' Tidewater boat that can fit a maximum of 4 anglers. The boat is equipped with an ice box. All rods, reels, and terminal tackle are included in the price so you can focus on what matters, fishing. The captain will supply all the needed fishing licenses for your trip.

You can keep anything you catch as long as it's legal to do so, and when you return to the marina, Capt. Sonny will filet your catch for you to take home. There will be bottled water on the boat for your convenience, but you're always welcome to pack your own drinks and snacks should you want to.

Book your trip now and hit the water with Salinity Matters Charters!

Our group of three went out this past Wednesday morning. The fish bite was slow but the captain put us on some flounder close to shore as we waited to see what the weather was going to do. After a while the weather let up and he allowed my son to hook a shark or ten before he was able to land one. You couldn’t tell him anything afterwards! We enjoyed our trip and will definitely do it again.

Awesome day on the water with Salinity Matters!

We had the best time fishing with Sonny! He stayed in touch and kept an eye on the weather when other charters were canceling. Luckily, he waited it out and the morning turned out to be absolutely gorgeous. The fish were biting right away, and we ended up with a great haul. Sonny really knows his stuff and made the whole trip fun and easy. It was such a great experience to share with my dad and husband. Highly recommend - we’ll definitely be back!

4 Hour Inshore -(PM) on June 11, 2025

We had a great time. Our captain was knowledgeable and easygoing and kept my husband on the fish. I could have fished, but I choose to sit and sun. We moved the date by a couple of days bc of high wind, but the day he recommended ended up being a nice day.
