Looking to go fishing in Honolulu? Make it happen with Maggie Joe Sportfishing! With Captain Darryl at the helm, you'll benefit from years of knowledge.
Tuna, Marlin, Shortbill Spearfish, Mahi Mahi, Wahoo, and more are in the cards if you come at the right time of year. You'll target your catch by light tackle fishing, trolling, or maybe something more specialized in this area. You can keep fish some of the fish you catch. How's that for fresh seafood?
Your boat for the day is a 41' Offshore sport fishing with room for 6 passengers. It has outriggers, a fighting chair, and all the essentials no fishing machine can run without, plus AC and a toilet on board. Rods, reels, and tackle are provided, along with lures, and live bait can be caught during your trip.
Trips are run with the help of a First Mate, who's there to help you fish and keep everyone safe on board. Mates often work for tips, and it's customary to offer them a 10%–20% gratuity.
Maggie Sport Fishing offers shared and private trips. Some essentials you'll want to bring are sunglasses, a hat, sunblock (non-spray), and bottled water. Planning a family adventure? Kids over 5 years old are absolutely welcome!

Fish Policy: Any fish you catch that weighs less than 100lbs we will cut for you. We will cut half the catch up to 50lbs maximum.
Payment policy: We require a credit card to hold reservations. Once booked we will contact you.
Fishing License: Licenses are required for anglers ages 15 and above

Full Day Trip – Shared
BEST EVER!!
Captain Dallas and Mate Tony were GREAT!! Low key, relaxed and confident we knew within minutes we were in good hands. This crew knows what they’re doing and will do everything they can to put you on the fish. The rod went down and they put my wife in the chair, brought the rod to her and hooked her up. They talked her through the fight, never got excited and were very encouraging through the process until she brought the fish to the boat. Dallas and Tony successfully landed the “Larger than average” 88” Striped Marlin. Captain Dallas started the process for a taxidermy mount so she will have her trophy forever and my wife now has a spectacular adventure memory and story to share for years to come!

Masters of the Sea!
Captain Darrell and Ken were awesome to fish with! Gurus of their craft and about business. Family friendly charter and will put you on quality sized fish. My sons (14 & 11yr old) and I hooked 6 and managed a bag of 4 in the boat for an approximate total of 160lbs brought in! Would recommend a full day trip to capitalize on the potential of Hawaii. These guys aren’t a set it and forget it charter. They will change lures/bait and location to adjust to what the fish are doing or want. They work for the fish and for you. As with any trip, take motion meds to get the best out of the day. No seasickness reported from our party. Thanks again Cap Darrell and Ken! This was our best and most successful trip of big fish yet!

Half Day Trip (PM)
Fantastic afternoon at sea!
We were fortunate enough to snag a half day trip on the Maggie Jo after our all day outing with a different company was suddenly cancelled. We really lucked out! Everything was perfect. Great communication before we went out, very comfortable boat, gorgeous day. Great captain and crew. It was our first time out deep sea fishing as a family. Our two adult children caught a tuna and a 50 lb Marlin! We took home more than enough fish for a special New Year dinner! We will definitely book this boat again. Mahalo for a great experience!

Fantastic Experience
Daryl the captain (hope I’m not butchering the spelling) was awesome! I ended up getting sea sick for half the trip, which they responded well with the situation since I was solo, still ended up reeling in a massive shark and Wahoo. All in all even with the storm and rough seas we went through the experience was one of a kind! Would absolutely return and go with Maggie Joe again!

Great experience and caught fish too
Darryl and Tony did an amazing job of making sure we were comfortable and were highly invested in us successfully catching fish. We caught about 83 lbs of mahi mahi. Three fish total. Thanks again for a great day, guys.
