St. Petersburg has a fish with your name on it, so let Beachside Charters help you catch it! Captain Dan will be your guide, so you'll benefit from years of local experience.
These waters are known for Snook, Spotted Seatrout, Redfish, Mangrove Snapper, Ladyfish, Gag Grouper, Sheepshead, Black Drum, Blacktip Shark, Spanish Mackerel, Tripletail, and more – with any luck, it won't be long before 'Fish on!' On the day of your trip, you're likely to freeline live bait, troll or bottom fish using light or heavy tackle.
You're welcome to take home some of the fish you catch within the legal limit. Catch cleaning is available, so you can take your fish home and throw it right into the pan. Have a cooler ready in the car!
Your fishing machine for the day is a 22' Sea Hunt with a capacity for 4 passengers. It has everything you need for a productive day on the water.
It is powered by a 200HP Yamaha and equipped with not only Simrad Electronics but also a GPS spot lock Trolling Motor and 8-ft Power Pole.
Rods, reels, and tackle are ready for you, along with lures. Live bait is included.
Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, so all you have to do is look forward to your trip! Have in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. If you don't know what to expect, ask the captain.
Planning a family adventure? Kids are absolutely welcome! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. And, you can't go wrong with snacks so that nobody gets grumpy on an empty belly!
It's never a bad idea to bring sunscreen (non-spray), sunglasses, and bottled water. Your trip includes a few drinks on board.

Captain Dan was an outstanding guide who made our fishing charter an unforgettable experience. As a local to the St. Petersburg, FL area, he knew exactly where to go to put us on the fish quickly. My 12-year-old son was really hoping to catch a shark—and thanks to Dan, we ended up catching FIVE in just a few hours, along with a variety of other species! Dan’s knowledge, patience, and overall vibe made the trip both exciting, educational, and memorable. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a fun and successful day on the water. He truly helped create a special memory for me and my son.

Went out with Captain Dan on 4/19/26 for the full day fishing and island hopping trip.
We spent the morning catching nice trout and redfish. Afterwards we went and beached the boat at a quiet spot and hung out Florida style.
If you want to catch fish and experience all that Florida has to offer from a born and raised native, then book Captain Dan!

Full day fishing and island stops on September 20, 2025 • 2 adults • 2 children
We spent 8 hours with Capt. Dan & we were sad for it to end. He's super chill, fun, great with kids, extremely knowledgeable about the areas he takes you fishing and super accommodating with the boat time. We didn't have to wait long at all to start catching fish. Broke up the fishing with some island time and it could not have been a better day! Highly recommend!! We will be seeing him again when we head back to Florida.
