Hello! My name is Captain Dylan, I am a Tampa Bay native, part-time fishing guide, and pilot-in-training! When I am not up in the air, I am out on the water doing what I love most - chasing fish!
I’ve been fishing the bay, flats, and beaches of Tampa and St. Pete my whole life, but started doing licensed charters last year to help pay my way through pilot school.
When it comes to fishing, my biggest priorities are to have fun, appreciate the outdoors, and enjoy time on the water with the people I’m with. **I take fishing seriously, but if catching a ton of fish or going home with a cooler full of fillets is your biggest priority, I would recommend booking with another captain.**
I fish with my guests the same way I’d fish if I were going out by myself or with friends - every day is different, and every day is a unique challenge and a chance to learn something new about the awesome fishery we have here in Tampa Bay. Whether we catch 5 fish or 50, my goal is to have an enjoyable day on the water and a good time with the people I’m with.
To me, that’s the fun of fishing.
Most trips will start by heading out and catching live bait. From there, we will explore a variety of spots depending on what species are around in the season. This could be chasing after snook, trout, and redfish on the flats, fishing for tarpon around the bridges and passes (early summer), or going off the beaches to a nearshore reef.
*PLEASE NOTE - I do NOT keep snook or redfish on my charters. These are prized gamefish in Tampa Bay that I prefer to practice catch and release on. If you are interested in taking a few fish home to eat, there are other species we can target depending on conditions and time of year.
If you have any questions at all, don’t hesitate to shoot me a message and ask! Thanks, and hope to see you out there!

We had an amazing time on our fishing trip with Captain Dylan! From the moment we got on the boat, he made us feel welcome and comfortable. He was incredibly patient and took the time to teach each of us the proper way to fish, explaining everything in a way that was easy to understand. Thanks to his guidance, every single one of us caught fish, which made the experience even more exciting! The boat ride itself was absolutely phenomenal—beautiful scenery, calm water, and an all-around relaxing day on the water. Captain Dylan’s knowledge, friendly personality, and willingness to help made this a trip we’ll always remember. If you’re looking for a fun, family-friendly fishing charter with a captain who genuinely cares about making sure everyone has a great experience, we can’t recommend Captain Dylan enough. We’ll definitely be booking another trip the next time we’re in Florida!
Caltain Dylan was great, We talked about catching a tarpon and he explained how hard it is but did his best to give us an amazing experience and boy did he deliver! We first saw some tarpon rolling early and did everything we could to catch them. My son hooked into a 40 lb tarpon and held on for a ride unfortunately he broke him off! We kept trying but to no avail. So off we went to catch some live bait for some snook. That was a interesting experience to say the least…..But as a storm was aproaching us it seemed the tarpon had followed us and started rolling in about 3 ft of water, as we got our lines back in the storm was fast approaching and we headed for cover. Most captains and fishing trips would of been over by now but captain dylan asked if we wanted to wait out the lightning and rain so we did and about 10 min later we went back to where we saw them and low and behold they were still there after about 15 min of chumming and baits in the water the fight of my fishing life was on. 30 min later and 500 yd farther then where we started I brought the 60lb tarpon to the boat. We drove a little ways to get to shallower water to get out of the boat and take pictures. What a fishing trip this was. I was cooked after that and then i hear so are yall ready to go catch some more fish….to my surprise we got more bait went to another spot and my kids were catching reds, bonnet head sharks, a sting ray and i actually hooked into a smaller tarpon. To say the least this was an epic adventure my family will never forget. We are already planning our next trip with Captain Dylan!!!!!!
We had an incredible trip with Capt. Dylan! From the moment we dropped lines in the water, we were catching fish. Capt. Dylan was friendly, accommodating, and made sure everyone had a great time. What really stood out was how great he was with the kids. He kept them engaged, helped them every step of the way, and made the experience fun and memorable for the whole family. We've been on several fishing charters over the years, and this was hands down the best trip we've ever been on. If you're looking for a captain who works hard, puts you on fish, and makes the day enjoyable for everyone, we can't recommend Capt. Dylan enough. We'll definitely be booking again!
This was a great trip from start to finish. Easy location to park and walk right onto the boat. Our guide Dylan already had our fresh bait and took us right out on the water. This was the perfect trip for me and my 13 year old son. We didn’t catch boat loads of fish (still coolers worth) but we caught pretty much all the varieties we wanted to! Dylan knew where to take us and helped us if we got snagged in a tree or if a fish cut the line, he handed us another pole right away. (No waiting around as he was always busy setting us up) We even got to see manatee’s, dolphins and other cool things. I’d highly recommend Dylan’s charter.

Thanks so much for the review! had an absolutely awesome time fishing with you guys 🤙 thank you again for everything
My 9 yo son wanted to “go fishing in Florida”. I booked a last minute trip, and then booked with Captain Dylan on the way to the airport. I couldn’t have been much happier! He got us on some fish right away, worked up to some bigger species, and ultimately a shark!!! My son had the time of his life. I would fish with Captain Dylan anytime.

Hi! My name is Capt Dylan and I have spent my entire life fishing the beautiful waters of Tampa Bay! I started guiding to help pay for pilot school, but no matter how much I love to fly, nothing beats a rod bending day on the water!
