It ended up being a breezy day so my expectations were low on having a good day out, but Capt Dave got us out and on the fish right away.  My wife and I are not experienced anglers but he was patient and shared his experience and knowledge to get us pulling fish up within minutes at our first stop. We never had downtime as Dave was constantly working on keeping bait on our lines and chumming the water to keep the action going.
When we got back he filleted our fish and packed it up so we could walk it down the dock to be cooked up for dinner.
We could ask for a better day and highly recommend them. We’ll be back.

We went on the 1/2 day in shore fishing trip with Captain Hugh from Reel Easy Charters and we can’t say enough good things— the trip was amazing! The boat was exactly as advertised, maybe even better. It was clean and well equipped. John, who helped us make our reservation, made sure to communicate beforehand to ensure we knew where to go and when. And as mentioned above, we had Hugh as our captain; he was incredible and made the experience for us. He was attentive the entire time, gave direction when we needed it, and was fun and easy to be around. He also listened to what we wanted to get out of our experience and as long as it fell within our reservation, he made all of it happen. We will absolutely be going back to Reel Easy Charters and requesting Hugh as our captain.

Many thanks to Captain Hugh. He did not speak too much but he was kind and thoughtful. Due to his effort my family of 3 had a great time at the sea. Of course we caught some fish including Snappers, Spanish Mackerel, and Barracuda. We will rebook with them when we come back to Key West. Thanks.

We got switched the night before to a different boat with Capt. Hugh Morgan due to the boat we booked being down. We started the morning in a beautiful 30’ twin engine Conch! Tried are hand with the Tarpon but could not get them to play. We moved on and found a bunch of Permit and hooked up with one. Pound for Pound that’s a fighter! We moved on to try our hand at some Mangrove Snapper but no luck finding them. We moved on and headed out to about 750’ of water and found a mess of Maui. We lit into them and had a blast. Capt. Morgan had to do a little boat cleaning after this catch! After we had what we needed and catch and released for a while they caught on to us and we headed back toward Key West to try the Tarpon one more time. We weren’t there long and Captain Morgan hooked up and handed the rod to me. I thought he handed the rod to me out of duty, but now I wonder. He even made the comment with a little grin “ I’m giving you everything you asked for.” I have fished my whole life and caught some big fish with light tackle, but this was the fight of my life . What a great experience, even though I can barely move this morning. So we headed in to the Marina, Captain Morgan cleaned us some fish for lunch and we had the restaurant right there at the marina grill it up! We had a terrific day, and a lot of fun. Captain Morgan kept a really clean boat and a great job of instructing us on technique. Although he hooked up by far the most and then put the rod in one of our hands. That’s the bass fishermen in me always picking the rod tip up to fill the bite, “ don’t do that!” Anyway this was a great outfit to go with, and would highly recommend anyone looking for a versatile outfit to find the fish look no further. If they are out there Capt. Morgan and Capt. Jackson will put you on them. Hope to make it back soon!

Took my son and mother on a split tarpon charter. Captain Zac immediately hit it off with my son by playing music and sharing song selection. Zac was masterful in understanding tide, current and wind. He got us set up and it wasn’t long that we had a 100+ lb tarpon. Landed safely with great video. The evening resulted in non stop action with 9 hookups and 7 landed. One was 150+ with an amazing battle. Zac handled the boat perfectly and always positioned so that all I had to do was enjoy the fight. My son caught 4 tarpon and my mom landed 1. An amazing day and a check off that bucket list. Thank you Zac for an epic day of fishing.
