Charlevoix has a fish with your name on it, so let Ward’s North Coast Charters help you catch it! Captain Russell will be your guide, so you’ll benefit from years of knowledge and experience.
Depending on the time of year, you might hook into Lake Trout, Brown Trout, Salmon, Rainbow Trout (Steelhead), and whatever else is biting.
You can expect to do some light tackle fishing, trolling, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Any fish you catch are yours to keep, so long as they’re within the legal limit. Plus, you can have your catch cleaned. Now that’s dinner!
You’ll be casting lines from a 31’ Bertram cuddy cabin with a capacity for 6 passengers. It has downriggers, a fighting chair, and all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience. What’s more, this vessel is wheelchair accessible. You’ll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, along with lures.
There will be a First Mate on board to help your trip run smoothly. Mates often work for tips and it’s customary to offer them a 10–20% gratuity.
People in your group might need to purchase a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off-limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.
If you’re traveling with the family, you will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise, you should bring your own. Also, remember to bring snacks so that nobody gets grumpy on an empty belly!
It’s always wise to bring bottled water, sunblock (non-spray), and sunglasses. If you’d like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
Your trip with Ward’s North Coast Charters is just a click away, so why not make it happen?
