The motto of Matt Mavigliano at 3 Pound Fishing Guide Service is to provide 110 percent effort to help guests have the best time possible fishing. Anglers will cruise to proven hotspots around Lake of Egypt aboard a smooth riding 20-foot tournament fishing boat. The boat is equipped with live scope sonar equipment help pinpoint fish. Auto-positioning electric trolling motors at each corner of the boat allow Matt to maintain position and place anglers in best reach of spots to fish. Matt has an understanding of fishes seasonal patterns of behavior and the location and structure which attract and hold crappie. During an afternoon fishing in very early spawning, we were reqularly catching crappie up to two pounds. When fishing slowed and then moving to another spot, the next would usually be productive. It was my lack of casting accuracy that was the biggest contributing factor which prevented a very good day fishing from being excellent one. I will definately consider 3 Pound Fishing Guide Service and Lake of Egypt the next time I consider heading out crappie fishing. Tight Lines! Tim D., Tecumseh, MI
There were 3 of us on this trip for 2 half days. We went for crappie. Matt puts you on the fish and made sure everyone was catching them. We did a mix of old school cast and reel, and live scoping. Even with the live scoping, he had all 3 of us in a good spot where we were catching fish at the same time. Matt has a relaxed demeanor that made our trip very enjoyable. We've had other guides that do not make crappie fishing look easy - Matt does. Highly Recommended. Thanks again Matt!

Another great fishing experience! The wind was howling but Capt.Matt put me on the fish all day! It doesn’t get any better than fishing with Matt. his Bass Cat is rigged with top shelf electronics ,equipment and the best fishing tackle money can buy. Combine that with his knowledge you can’t miss. You won’t be disappointed fishing Matt.
