Depending on the season, you might hook into Largemouth Bass, Catfish, Crappie, Flathead, and anything else that bites. On the day of your trip, you’re likely to bottom fish using light or heavy tackle.

You’ll be fishing aboard a 20’ Triton bass boat that holds up to 4 passengers. It has everything you need for a productive day on the water. Your captain will provide rods and reels, as well as lures. Live bait is available, but it’s good to ask about this so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.

Before coming aboard, you will be required to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Fun learning experience

4 Hour Trip – Rod & Reel Catfish on August 12, 2025 • 3 adults

I took my two sons—one in high school, the other in college—on a 4-hour catfishing trip with Captain Jason, and it was an unforgettable experience! Neither of my boys had ever been catfishing before, and Captain Jason made it an incredible first adventure. From the moment we started, he was hands-on, patiently teaching them the ins and outs of catfishing. He showed them how to set up his rigs, shared tips and tricks, and even explained how to safely remove fish from the hook. His enthusiasm was contagious, and he took the time to connect with the kids, asking about their future plans and keeping them engaged. Captain Jason’s expertise was obvious—he read the radar like a pro and put us right on the fish. We didn’t even have our lines in the water for 5 minutes before the first fish hit! The action kept coming, and the boys were thrilled. They’re already begging to know when we can book our next trip. At the end, Captain Jason went above and beyond, demonstrating how to clean and fillet the fish, which was a great learning moment for all of us. If you’re looking for a fun, educational, and action-packed fishing trip, Captain Jason is the guy to go with. Highly recommend for families or anyone wanting a top-notch catfishing experience!
